Bits & Pieces

Posted in Other on September 13th, 2011 by MorningStar

Thirty years ago, 10 percent of California’s general revenue fund went to higher education and 3 percent to prisons. Today nearly 11 percent goes to prisons and 8 percent to higher education.

The top 1 percent of Americans now take in roughly one-fourth of America’s total income every year. In terms of wealth rather than income, the top 1 percent now controls 40 percent of the total. Twenty-five years ago, the corresponding figures were 12 percent and 33 percent.

Seventy-five percent of young Americans, between the ages of 17 to 24, are unable to enlist in the military today because they have failed to graduate from high school, have a criminal record or are physically unfit.

The United States has both the highest overall poverty rate and the highest childhood poverty rate of any major industrialized country on earth, according to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Poverty rate rises in America:
One in six Americans are now living below the poverty line and the number of people whose income falls in the category of “poverty” is growing at a rapidly accelerating rate.

Jesus Wouldn’t Shop at Wal-Mart

Posted in Other on November 27th, 2009 by MorningStar

The Christmas decorations being pulled out for sale at Costco in the middle of July doesn’t signify the arrival of the Christmas spirit as much as the annual Black Friday battles fought in the aisles of Wal-Mart. This year the Wal-Mart’s in Rancho Cucamonga sported a fist fight in the electronics department just a few hours after a fight broke out in the Upland Wal-Mart. At least nobody got killed in this years Wal-Mart riots and Wal-Mart officials reported that “There have been a few scuffles, but overall it’s been a very safe event with no major issues.”

Personally, I never shop at Wal-Mart regardless of how low their prices are, and I certainly wouldn’t go into a Wal-Mart during flu season unless I had a death wish. I have been in a few of them and I have never seen anything worth kicking somebody’s ass over, then again, it’s probably not the merchandise that gets people to throwing punches, more than likely its the customers they cater to.

An Observation and Inquiry To Other Bloggers:

Posted in Other on August 28th, 2009 by MorningStar

I have noticed that since the beginning of the year my subscriber rate has increased by 400% but the number of comments on my postings remains abysmally low as it has always been. That is fine by me since I have made it no secret that this actual intent of this blog was to air my views and if others wanted to engage in the discussion they were welcome, but regardless of their contribution or lack of contribution, I would continue to voice my thoughts. To date, I have published every single comment that has been submitted and I will continue with that policy unless there is some good reason to alter it. However, while reviewing the site statistics I have noticed that in periods where I have published a prolific number of articles criticizing Barack Obama, his campaign, his numerous lies and following the election, his disastrous administration and entirely over-the-top spending, this web blog has been inundated with spam containing links to web sites dedicated to sexual perversities of an exceedingly disturbing bent. The most numerous of which are web sites advertising videos of bestiality, pedophilia and other forms of extreme deviance For some odd reason this only seems to happen when I publish articles critical of Barack Obama. I can yammer on forever about illegal aliens, the curse of the liberal news media, stupid government practices, the general elimination of our national security, and personal observations on numerous idiotic things going on in American society and not trigger the deluge of pornographic spam that is always associated with critical comments about Barack “the antichrist” Obama. I am wondering if other web blog authors of a have encountered this phenomenon and would like to hear from anyone that has experienced a similar deluge. Thankfully, I have the best filters available to siphon off this garbage before it appears, and while I am committed to publishing every comment sent to me, I reserve the right to read the content before I publish it, and as I stated earlier, I have published every comment sent to me regardless of whether or not the author agrees with me, my position, wants to entertain some completely different topic, or simply drops in to say that I am a stupid bastard with an asinine sense of humor. Please note: I am not claiming that Barack Obama or his minions are intentionally spamming me with this pornographic trash, but the fact that these incidents only occur when I blast Obama and his brand of treasonous politics stretches the laws of probability beyond simple coincidence and I would like to hear from anyone else that has seen a similar connection. I am not attempting to initiate another conspiracy theory by any means; there are enough to supply everyone as it is. For all I know Barack Obama in some primitive third world language might mean “he who humps chickens,” and every time I use write that name in one of my postings the animal fornication video industry in that country picks up on it and sees it as a request for information. I honestly don’t know. If you have any ideas about this mystery please enlighten me.

Please feel free to contribute via comments, or if you wish to maintain some privacy drop me an email at morningstar@fungazi.com and I will maintain all confidential correspondence at your request.

Buried Beneath A Veritable Avalanche Of Liberal Bull

Posted in America In Decline, California - Politics & Government, Illegal Aliens & Immigration Reforms, Labor Unions, Other, Politics & Government, The Democratic Agenda on Health Care on June 13th, 2009 by MorningStar

The compromise package of $789 billion will create or save 3.5 million jobs over the next two years.”
SOURCE: Statement contained in the February 17th, 2009, White House press briefing

“Payroll employment declined by 598,000 in January, bringing the total job loss since the recession began in December 2007 to 3.6 million. This is the largest 13-month job loss since the payroll employment series began in 1939.”
SOURCE: The Press Office Statement on January Employment Numbers from Christina D. Romer, Chair, President’s Council of Economic Advisers

“Today we learned that our economy lost another 651,000 jobs in February, bringing the unemployment rate to 8.1 percent. 4.4 million Americans have now lost their jobs since this recession began.”
SOURCE: The Press Office Statement by the Secretary Of Labor Regarding the Monthly Employment Situation Report, by Secretary Hilda L. Solis

The source of the information given below comes from the monthly report on economic indicators for April, 2009. This report was prepared for the 111th U.S. Congress by the Joint Economic Committee by the Council of Economic Advisers. For the sake of comparison I have thrown in the last two months of the Bush Administration and it should be noted that the report shows that when Bush first entered office the unemployment rate was at 4.7 and grew to an overall increase of 2.5 in a slow and gradual increase spread out across his two terms of office to a high of 7.2 indicated for December 2008 as shown below. Since Obama first entered office in January, 2009 the unemployment rate has shot up from 7.6 to 8.9 indicating a 1.3 overall increase in a brief period of les than four months. If the unemployment rate continues to accelerate at a rate of 1.3% every quarter over the maximum two terms of office than Obama can serve, we can expect that, by the time he leaves office, the unemployment rate in the United States will be somewhere around 46.1% and nearly half the population of the country will be without jobs.

Bush Administration
In November 2008, there were 10,476,000 people unemployed and the unemployment rate was 6.8 In December 2008, there were 11,108,000 people unemployed and the unemployment rate was 7.2

Obama Administration
In January 2009, there were 11,616,000 people unemployed and the unemployment rate was 7.6
In February 2009, there were 12,467,000 people unemployed and the unemployment rate was 8.2
In March 2009, there were 13,161,000 people unemployed and the unemployment rate was 8.5
In April 2009, there were 13,724,000 people unemployed and the unemployment rate was 8.9

The reports from the Joint Economic Committee by the Council of Economic Advisers for June have not been released but the current unemployment rate has been approximated at 10.5%. The simple fact is that nobody cares who is at fault for any of this, the American president does not create jobs, they are created by business and a healthy business climate creates more jobs than political rhetoric. When the government attacks large corporations and big businesses they are attacking the American people who depend on large corporations and big businesses for employment and income. When the government does not enforce border security they allow illegal aliens to come here and take jobs needed by the American people. Immigration enforcement is not discrimination, its law enforcement and enforcing the laws that protect American citizens is a benefit to all of us as well as to the nation.

In case there is someone out there who isn’t aware of it, George Bush is no longer the President of the U.S., the responsibility for the state of this nation’s affairs now rests with Barack Obama, so he should quit blaming Bush and get his act together, or shut up and get out of the way so somebody else can fix the problems correctly.

“We have to make sure that there’s a verification system to find out whether somebody is legally able to work here or not. But we have to make sure that that verification system does not discriminate just because you’ve got a Hispanic last name”
Barack Obama at Costa Mesa Town Hall meeting – Costa Mesa, California
March 18, 2009

Barack Obama has consistently harped about job creation during his numerous speeches, but while he is talking the number of America’s legal residents getting laid off increases dramatically and the number of illegal aliens employed by American companies continues to climb. Obama has repeatedly stated that securing the nation’s borders is an important priority and he has repeatedly promised to increase the use of the E-Verify program to identify and punish employers hiring illegal aliens. If he actually did as he has repeatedly promised the companies now hiring illegal aliens would decrease and the number of jobs available to the legal residents of this country would increase. The unemployed legal residents of this nation are becoming desperate. They cannot pay their bills or feed their families and increasing numbers are being forced out of their homes by foreclosure. American citizens with advanced academic degrees, individuals qualified for positions with law firms, and graduates with a Master’s degree and PhD’s are jumping at the opportunity to fill low-paying positions as secretaries, analysts, retail sales and low-skilled laborers. Unfortunately the opportunity for them to fill even the low end jobs are limited because Obama has put off the full implementation of the E-Verify program four times already and there is no telling if it will ever be fully implemented. Furthermore, with the U.S. Congress becoming more and more vocal about immigration reform and amnesty, the full implementation of the E-Verify program might end up getting dumped altogether as congress legitimizes the approximate 20 million illegal aliens now in this country and reforms out current immigration laws to allow for then next 20 million behind them.

Currently the E-Verify program is the only tool available. It may not be perfect but it does work very well and the ridiculously small numbers of errors made are avoidable and represent a small problem that is well worth the cost of making the jobs now taken by this nation’s 20 million illegal aliens, available to American citizens now facing financial disaster. The program should be immediately implemented nationwide and made mandatory for every company regardless of size. Data errors are not systematic efforts to discriminate, they are data errors, plain and simple, the computers don’t know what color a person might be, it only knows that the data doesn’t jive and it reports the facts based on the information fed into it. Further delay is unacceptable and as Obama has been known to say in the past, “We can’t let the perfect become the enemy of the good.” The E-Verify program works – implement it and fix the little problems later.

The United States government was designed as a form of government whose authority comes from the American people it serves, however, instead of serving the best interests of the American people our Washington DC politicians are serving their own agenda and the beneficiary of what little they do is the highest bidder among the special interest groups filling their campaign treasuries.

Every fractional graduation of the broadcast spectrum, whether it be radio, television, satellite, cable or microwave is controlled by one or agencies of the United States Government. Beyond the Internet, every aspect of public communication is subject to government regulation, permitting requirements and the ever increasing pressure of censors who are all to willing to overlook pornography but are highly sensitive to anything that might be even remotely considered as being politically incorrect as defined by the cognoscenti of modern liberal orthodoxy. The American people are informed only to the degree and nature deemed appropriate while sweeping changes, legislative actions, foreign policy modifications and trade deals are proposed, debated, rejected, passed, implemented and modified in countless ways behind the secrecy of closed doors and we the people, the very people from whom our government derives its authority to act, are told nothing and remain largely ignorant. The primary pursuit of government officials in the United States today is to keep the American people entertained and distracted by a never-ending supply of extravagant “vitally important” issues while our formerly inalienable rights and freedoms are systematically stripped away, the free market democracy is dismantled and the entire system of government it transformed into a socialist tyranny capable of controlling every aspect of modern life. It is evidently the determination of the controlling power that the best way to achieve that ultimate goal is to make life in America so difficult that the American people willingly welcome any proposal that offers the slightest degree of hope for beneficial change. Informed people will resist changes to ease government inflicted hardships and would fight to change the government officials responsible for their suffering. Uniformed people will tend to see their suffering as the result of circumstances beyond their control and beyond the control of their government. They will be more inclined to accept any hope offered even if that hope is false and the change brings on greater adversity.

Immigration reform and amnesty are being sold by the current crop of politicians as an economic and moral necessity, the only viable solution to a pressing problem of great importance to the American people. The actual problem is the creation of a U.S. government whose refusal to enforce the immigration laws that were enacted to protect our nation from being inundated with illiterate, criminally inclined, free-loaders with few redeeming values has allowed more than 20 million illegal invaders the ability to come here, take our jobs, purchase the homes we are being forced out of and victimize the American people who are easy prey to foreign predators. The government’s proposed solution is to legalize the presence of these invaders and make it easier for others like them to enter the country and we are being told by most politicians and every newspaper and television new show that it is the right and moral thing to do, and as American, it is our obligation. The fact that it will increase every legal resident’s tax burden, sharply increase the crime rate and further erode the American way of life is not a subject that we will hear much, if anything, about. Those facts are entirely evident and yet that information is not being relayed to the American people because it might muddy the water and make the government’s goal harder to attain.

The union officials, the Parent Teacher Associations and all the other special interest groups out there are fighting for political power in Washington DC, they are not fighting for you. In the short term you might gain some small benefit but in the long term you lose everything because you’re not thinking about the long term consequences of the short term solutions they offer. When you lose your job, your kids are going hungry and the U.S. Marshalls are nailing an eviction notice to your front door, the union won’t be there to help you and the PTA won’t be rushing to your side. The government will do nothing for you when your foreclosed home is sold off to some illegal alien for less than half what you paid for it and you will be lucky to have a shopping cart to push your stuff around in if you have anything left at all. Believe it or not, that is all part of the grand plan that you voted for when you bought into “Change” without asking for details.

Wake up America! Pull your head out of your ass and look around you. Instead of sitting on that sway-backed couch staring at the simple-minded garbage the television broadcast networks are using to deaden your brains get up and go outside, drive to the drugstore, the market, count the people who pay for their food with the government subsidized allowance cards that you don’t qualify for, and all else, look at what is going on around you. Go sit in an emergency room some Friday night and see who comes through the door to get stiched up without any insurance. Go drive through the slums and see for yourself who lives there. You should be interested enough to find out since you are paying for most of them to be here. Quit accepting lies and start demanding the truth in every minute detail. Go outside and take a hard look at what the most powerful nation the planet has ever known has become, and consider what it could be if you quit paying attention to the nightly propaganda broadcasts of government sponsored lies and actually started thinking about the consequences of the repeatedly voting for the same bunch of self-serving jackasses you’ve already voted for in the past. Instead of letting other people tell you what to think based on their agenda and the political needs of whoever they represent, try thinking about the implications for you, your family, your future, the future of your children and your nation. Instead of voting for everyone listed on the union leaflet or the PTA circular, vote against them, because they are the candidates that have got us to where we are, and they are the future politicians who will deliver us to the Hell that the future holds in store for you and your kids. Think for yourself, it’s not all that painful, throw a brick through the television screen and chuck it in the trash where it belongs; you might save yourself a ton of grief in the process.

Uncharacteristically Ill Tempered Rants of a Miscellaneous Nature

Posted in In General, Other on May 19th, 2009 by MorningStar

I don’t know what’s worse, listening to the Democrats lying about who knew what the CIA was doing to the captured terrorists that more than half the nation thinks ought to dragged out and shot without a trial or listening to the pathetically nasal whining of the Republican leadership about who really leads the party and what they have to do to become relevant again.

Everybody in Washington D.C. and most of the population of the U.S. knew that when a suspected terrorist was captured by any American authority, from the CIA all the way down to the animal control officer for the city of Pasadena, that terrorist was in for as much suffering as anyone could possibly imagine, up to and including water boarding and bamboo slivers under the fingernails. Muggers, rapists and thieves caught by the cops in any major metropolitan city get treated just as bad as we’ve treated the terrorists so anyone who thinks they would be treated with the respect of a visiting dignitary has got to have his or her head completely up their ass. Of course we tortured them. We were as discreet about it as possible but after 9-11, everybody was salivating over the very idea of doing nasty things to terrorists and it was entirely expected. Pointing fingers now is not only disingenuous, it’s downright infantile. Nancy Pelosi needs to understand that she has absolutely no credibility whatsoever and she ought to swallow her tongue because after listening to her multiple and varied accounts of the briefings she received, most Americans want to see her strapped down to the Guantanamo water board, and not because we want to know the truth that we’ve already guessed correctly, but just to her shriek. We’ve heard enough about the interrogations. We don’t need anymore.

As for the Republican Party’s sense of direction, forget about it. If they have to figure out what to do to become relevant again they might as well shoot themselves in the head because they are hopelessly lost and will never recover no matter how much they start to look like the Democrats. This, now that I mention it, is exactly why they lost in the first place. Two completely different political parties with radically opposing views worked well for this country. Two shades of grey with minimal variation between them simply don’t cut the mustard. The Republican Party will never find a decent conservative candidate to run for office because they are afraid to look a real conservative in the eye and admit in their liberal hearts that this is what the nation needs most. The Republican Party hasn’t lost their sense of direction, they’ve become bipolar. Not only do they lack relevance, they also lack spirit, credibility, honesty, integrity, perseverance, bravery, common sense and the will to lead. In simple terms – they’ve become Democrats and nobody is going to vote for them until they become conservatives again. Listening to their internal conflicts is embarrassing. They need to grow a spine and start acting like conservatives, until then just shut up and keep their tumultuous internal conflicts to themselves. If you have to talk about who’s leading the charge, you have no leadership.

As long as I’m ranting on about the un-newsworthy garbage clogging the airwaves and news papers while generally considering Nacy Pelosi, I might as well throw in the media coverage of that satanic looking furry little creature that Obama & family are now claiming is a dog. Complete nonsense. That animal is no more a dog than a sea urchin is a fish. A malamute is a dog, a beagle is a dog, a basset hound is a dog, a wiener dog is a dog, a mastiff is dog, even a freaking poodle is a dog, and any crossways offspring resulting from their chance encounters with one another would also be considered be a dog. The thing Obama claims as a pet is not a dog, I could personally make a better dog out of cucumber; it might be a curly haired socialist plot, it’s almost certainly a sexual deviant of some kind, but for certain, it is not a dog and I don’t want to see pictures of it or hear about it unless it gets hit by a car or dies from some painfully gross disease.

While this posting may be short, it is definitely to the point and that about sums it up for me this afternoon. I feel so much better now.

The Ridiculous Account of Victor Rodriguez & His Attack Trained Snake

Posted in Other on June 17th, 2008 by MorningStar

Police in Bridgeport, Connecticut responded to a domestic violence call after neighbors reported screams coming from a nearby apartment.  Upon their arrival the cops discovered 21-year-old Victor Rodriguez in the process of threatening his girlfriend with a 9-foot-long python, and as they attempted to intercede on her behalf, Victor Rodriguez, obviously not a full fledged member of Mensa, ordered his pet snake to attack the officers.  While the snake sat there docilely ignoring his owner’s command to “Get them,” the cops bagged and tagged the dimwitted culprit and he is now sitting in the local jail on a $10,000 bond facing charges of threatening police and disorderly conduct.  The less-than-attack-trained python was turned over to the city’s animal control shelter where it now sits lethargically digesting a baby rabbit, and the girl was (I am tempted to say she was shot 14 times by police) released unharmed.

The citizens of Bridgeport, Connecticut will rest easier tonight knowing that this desperate malcontent and his malevolent viper have been apprehended.

Tumor Or Not Tumor

Posted in Other on May 20th, 2008 by MorningStar

When I first heard the news of Senator Kennedy’s seizure I figured he had probably just caught some sensitive part of his body in his zipper and suffered a meltdown, but this morning I found out that his doctors have determined that the cause of the seizure is a malignant tumor in the left parietal lobe of his brain.

I could say that I wouldn’t wish such a horrible fate on anyone, but that wouldn’t be too honest.  I suppose the truth of the matter is that I wish it were contagious and that the Democrats started dropping like flies.  That might be a horrible thing to admit, but then again, I suppose it’s better than lying.

An American Travesty

Posted in Other on April 24th, 2008 by MorningStar

From the back pages of the this morning’s newspaper comes an article about the 33 year old Colorado woman that authorities now suspect to be the mystery girl who made the 911 phone call and touched off the raid on the Yearning for Zion Ranch run by the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints near San Angelo, Texas.  As it now turns out, Rozita Swinton of Colorado Springs, Colorado has a long history of calling in false reports of abuse.  In April, Swinton was arrested and charged with misdemeanor false reporting in an incident unrelated to the Texas religious group.  She was later released.  In 2005 she pled guilty to charges of false reporting after claiming to be a sixteen year old girl who was suicidal after giving birth.  She has made similar calls claiming to be a young woman being abused by her pastor in Colorado Springs and in another incident she claimed to be a thirteen year old girl being drugged and sexually abused by her father.  The authorities are fairly certain that Rozita Swinton is the person who sparked the April 3rd raid near San Angelo after she claimed to be a sixteen year old girl whose 50 year old husband beat and raped her.

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services is marginalizing the news that the entire raid and the draconian measures taken against the 437 children and their mothers subsequent to their apprehension, was perpetrated on the basis of a phony allegations phoned in by an obviously very disturbed woman nearly 700 miles from the scene of the “Crime.”  The state Child Protective Services (CPS) views the indoctrination of young children with fundamentalist religious ideas while raising them in an isolated community without access to television, purple and green hair dye, nipple rings, ear studs, or junk food as being potentially abusive and they have described the children’s situation as being “a throwback to the 19th century.”  They have expressed their deep concern over that fact that the children were all wearing pioneer-style dress, the young girls keep their hair pinned up in braids and behave in a very modest fashion, they have little knowledge of pop culture, pray twice a day, and they have demonstrated a preference for fresh vegetables, fruit, chicken and rice.  The most alarming characteristic shared by these children seems to be that they are exceedingly polite and the words “please” and “thank you” seems to roll off their lips with apparent ease.

At this point the Child Protective Agency intends to place the 437 children in foster homes across the state and take legal steps to remove the parent’s rights to raise their children as they see fit.  On Tuesday, 111 of the children, ages 5 and older, left the San Angelo Coliseum and Pavilion, where they have been forcibly detained, for foster homes across the state, said CPS spokeswoman Shari Pulliam. The remaining children are expected to be moved to foster homes around the state very soon.

State child-welfare authorities have claimed that they have developed some evidence of physical and sexual abuse at the ranch, however, nothing that would substantiate the Child Protective Agencies wild accusations has been released to the courts and the campaign of oppressive persecution launched by CPS against the parents seems to be running fine on innuendo and the thin threads of circumstantial evidence that appear to manufactured as needed.

With every passing day, the putrid stench emanating from San Angelo, Texas seems to get a bit worse.  Admittedly, the federal and state laws prohibiting the practice of polygamy should not be ignored.  There must be some reasoning behind those laws even if that reason is somewhat vague.  Personally, it seems to me that one wife should be more than sufficient for anyone, but I am not sure that monogamy needs to be enforced by federal law because it seems to me that any man who would marry multiple women, keep them all in the same house and proceed to have kids by all of them would welcome the opportunity to spend an extended period of time in the relative solitude offered by federal prisons.  A more fitting punishment would be to force that man to stay home, tend to his many wives and raise his passel of children.  How much peace could a man who was tyrannically dominated by a committee of multiple wives really have?

At any rate, given the simple fact that this atrocity was perpetrated on the basis of one sick woman’s obviously false allegations, the Texas court system should review their justifications for meddling in the affairs of these people.  The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services is similar in many aspects to the child protective agencies of other states.  They are all well known for their propensity to stretch the truth, misquote statements made to them, badger and confuse witnesses, and when all else fails, fabricate evidence from fantasy in the effort to “prove” the existence of child abuse in situations where it does not exist.  Their ability to maintain and expand the budgetary concerns of these agencies is predicated on their ability to demonstrate that child abuse is far more prevalent than it actually is, and the Yearning for Zion Ranch represents a budgetary coup for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services that will keep them on the crest of the Texas state budget wave for many years to come.

The concept of religious freedom has been seriously abrogated by American courts along with every other formerly inalienable right once acknowledged by the United States constitution as being given to all men by their creator.  If the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services can remove the parental rights from the mothers and fathers of these 437 children on the basis of flimsy and entirely circumstantial evidence manufactured by self-serving CPS agents, what is to stop them from snatching up the children of any other community where there is a high predominance of Baptists, Pentecostals, Jehovah’s Witnesses or Catholics?  If they can take children away from their parents on the basis of what might, or might not, be happening in their religious group then they should be able to use the same justification to seize the children of every Catholic family in America.

The vast majority of American citizens may not share the belief system endorsed by the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but are we willing to deny them the constitutionally guaranteed right to practice the religion of their choice with the knowledge that any fundamentalist Christian group, or for that matter, any religious group, fundamentalist or not, may attract similar scrutiny by agencies of the state into our affairs and the way we chose to raise our children?  We may not approve of what this religious group practices, but on the other hand, we have to acknowledge that there are many people in this nation who believe that any religious training of children constitutes child abuse.  Before we take off down this path it might be prudent to consider exactly where it will lead us in the end.

This is the United States of America; the abolition of parental rights should be something that is seriously weighed by an impartial court before action is taken.  Substantial proof of actual crimes committed by specific individuals must exist before any action is taken.  Criminal charges must be filed, individuals must be allowed to defend themselves in a courtroom before a jury of their peers and overwhelming evidence of abuse and parental neglect must be convincing enough to convince a jury that the individual charged is, in fact guilty of the crimes they have been charged with.   The removal of one’s parental rights on the basis of anything less than conclusive and irrefutable proof is a complete travesty.  Allowing these cases to be tried by the overly sensational American press conveniently receiving carefully and strategically timed information leaking out of Child Protective Agency files should be a major embarrassment for the entire state of Texas.

Punishing an entire community for the crimes committed by individuals living within that community is some distance short of where American justice should be standing in a case where the guiltiest party of all may be Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.  Just my opinion
