Barack Hussein Obama – Tyrant & Despot

Months ago the administration of Barack Hussein Obama solicited innovative ways to implement amnesty for this nation’s estimated 20 to 40 million illegal aliens in the event that the United States Congress failed to pass amnesty legislation. The strategy he received in response from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services explains that Barack Obama can exercise his discretionary powers as president to issue new guidance memorandums and redefining portions of existing immigration regulations currently in effect; according to the memo sent to Obama’s administrative staff by USCIS this strategy would allow the American immigration authorities the ability to legitimize the presence of hundreds of thousands, if not millions of illegal aliens. Furthermore, as the memo continues, additional recommendations for executive action could essentially gut most of the United States immigration laws simply by re-defining specific legal terms, and the deportation of illegal aliens could become more costly and drawn out than the implementation of a death sentence.

The fact that this would be an unconstitutional usurpation of congressional authority does not seem to be an obstacle to Barack Obama, and even if it were overturned later, the millions of illegal aliens granted permanent resident status as a result of his action would remain permanent residents. In simple terms, once the damage is done, it cannot be undone; it can only be stopped from that future point forward.

An overwhelming majority of American citizens have repeatedly voiced their opposition to amnesty for illegal aliens and those American citizens have stopped the United States Congress from passing amnesty legislation twice already, and if given the opportunity, they would step in and stop it again. Barack Obama has irrefutably proven that he does not care what the American people want. He has conspired to find ways to overcome the checks and balances inherent in our nation’s form of government and force amnesty down the throats of the American people against their will. This goes far beyond simple bad policy decisions by an individual who was considered by many to be unqualified for the office of President; this is the willful act of a tyrant.

Obama’s Lackey Initiates Federal Government’s Hostile Action Against Arizona’s Right to Self Defense

Eric Holder, Obama’s Attorney General, has filed suit against the State of Arizona to stop the implementation of immigration enforcement measures approved by more than 75% of the state’s population because the Obama Administration purportedly believes that the law might lead to an increase in “Racial Profiling” toward Hispanics. This simple-minded justification is, in fact, a lie, Obama desires unfettered control to implement his agenda and he is not the least bit concerned with racial profiling of Hispanics or anyone else. Despite the fact that the new law specifically, and very strongly, prohibits law enforcement personnel from stopping people on the basis of race alone, Barack Obama, following a private meeting with members of the Latino advocacy groups who financially supported his election. Barack Obama directed Eric Holder to file the suit. It can be considered compensation for favors granted; it can be considered payback for the Latino advocacy groups who worked hard to register the illegal alien voters who helped to put Obama in office, it can be considered many things, but it cannot be considered “Justice” by any stretch of the imagination. Neither the President of the United States nor the elected representatives sitting in the United States Congress are the least bit concerned with the fact that the vast majority of American people support Arizona’s attempt to defend their state against illegal aliens. They do not care that the American people have repeatedly spoken out against amnesty for illegal aliens, and they do not care to listen to the voices of any who are critical of the destiny they have chosen for the American people. The American people will comply with the demands of their government masters or they will suffer the consequences of their non-compliance.

Essentially, Eric Holder’s case against Arizona consists of the simple fact that the state of Arizona is reaffirming the federal government’s immigration law, and that Arizona’s re-affirmation of federal immigration law usurps the federal government’s exclusive authority over all matters related to immigration.

The hostile action initiated against the state of Arizona by Eric Holder at the demand of Barack Obama should be of great concern to all American citizens, especially the majority of American citizens who support Arizona’s right to defend their state against foreign and illegal invaders because the federal government’s lawsuit essentially claims that you, as an American citizen, support and approve of the hostile actions being taken against Arizona. This lawsuit is not about the constitutionality of Arizona’s law; it is about the Democratic Party’s agenda to maintain their control over the American people at any cost.

The 25 page complaint, which can be downloaded on the Internet for anyone interested in reading it, is entitled “The United States of America v. The State of Arizona” (Case 2:10-cv-01413-NVW Filed 07/06/10) and the basic premise of the case, as stated in the introduction is as follows:

“1. In this action, the United States seeks to declare invalid and preliminarily and permanently enjoin the enforcement of S.B. 1070, as amended and enacted by the State of Arizona, because S.B. 1070 is preempted by federal law and therefore violates the Supremacy Clause of the United States Constitution.”

“2. In our constitutional system, the federal government has preeminent authority to regulate immigration matters. This authority derives from the United States Constitution and numerous acts of Congress. The nation’s immigration laws reflect a careful and considered balance of national law enforcement, foreign relations, and humanitarian interests. Congress has assigned to the United States Department of Homeland Security, Department of Justice, and Department of State, along with other federal agencies, the task of enforcing and administering these immigration-related laws. In administering these laws, the federal agencies balance the complex – and often competing – objectives that animate federal immigration law and policy. Although states may exercise their police power in a manner that has an incidental or indirect effect on aliens, a state may not establish its own immigration policy or enforce state laws in a manner that interferes with the federal immigration laws. The Constitution and the federal immigration laws do not permit the development of a patchwork of state and local immigration policies throughout the country.”

For those that are less attuned to the translation of precise legal terminology as it is used in the state and federal courts across the United States of America, the two paragraphs introducing the federal government’s case against the state of Arizona essentially put forth the claim that the people of Arizona, as expressed by a majority of the state’s legal voting citizens, their desire to implement a new state law that would protect them from the economic damage and predatory criminal acts of the illegal aliens flooding into their state from Mexico by the millions; however, the federal government, at the direction of Barack Hussein Obama, has determined that the American citizens living in the state of Arizona, do not have the right to defend themselves against the criminal illegal aliens, despite the economic ruin those illegal aliens cause, and regardless of the murders, kidnappings, rapes, child molestations, assaults, robberies and other violent and non-violent crimes those illegal aliens commit against the law abiding citizens of Arizona. Furthermore, the Arizona citizen’s attempt to defend themselves against the havoc caused by illegal aliens, a state of chaos that is becoming so commonplace in the rest of the nation violates the Supremacy Clause of the United States Constitution and that SB 1070 is therefore preempted by federal law.

The Supremacy Clause is found in Article VI, Clause 2 of the United States Constitution.

“This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.”

The Supreme Court has ruled that the Supremacy Clause only comes into play when the federal Government has acted in a given field, however, in reaching this determination the court stipulated that a violation of the supremacy clause only occurs when one of the two following conditions is met. (Edgar v. Mite Corporation, 457 U.S. 624 (1982))

1. Compliance with both the Federal and State laws is impossible, or

2. The state law stands acts as an obstacle to the accomplishment and execution of the full purposes and objectives of Congress

With respect to the 1st condition as stated above, it would be extremely difficult to establish that the implementation of SB 1070′s legal provisions made it impossible or even slightly difficult for federal immigration authorities to enforce the currently existing federal immigration laws because the legal provisions implemented as a result of SB 1070 serve to reinforce the currently existing federal immigration laws by making a violation of those currently existing federal laws a violation of the Arizona state laws as well.

Under Title 8 Section 1325 of the U.S. Code, “Improper Entry by Alien,” any citizen of any country other than the United States who enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers; or eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers; or attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact; has committed a federal crime.

The federal Immigration and Nationality Act, INA 274A(a)(1)(A) and Section 8 USC 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)(b)(iii) provide that the federal government considers it a felony crime to transport, shelter, assist or encourage an illegal alien seeking employment in the United States and that illegal aliens and employers of illegal aliens are subject to arrest, detention, and seizure of their vehicles or property. Furthermore, these same federal laws contain provisions stating that it is a felony for a person to intentionally engage in the smuggling of illegal aliens into the U.S. for profit or commercial purpose when the person doing so knows or has reason to know that the person or persons being transported are not United States citizens, permanent resident aliens or individuals who have the prior legal authorization of the federal government to enter this country.

SB 1070 does not contain any provisions that are contrary to the Federal Immigration and Nationality Act, to INA 274A(a)(1)(A), or to Section 8 USC 1324(a)(1)(A)(iv)(b)(iii).   SB 1070 requires that all Arizona State, County, City and Town law enforcement personnel fully cooperate with the federal government’s enforcement of this nation’s immigration laws, furthermore, it provides that no official or agency of the State, County, City, Town or other political subdivision may adopt any policy that restricts or limits the enforcement of federal immigration laws to less than the full extent permitted by federal law. This provision of SB 1070 is identical to section 834b of the California Penal Code, which states, “Every law enforcement agency in California shall fully cooperate with the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service regarding any person who is arrested if he or she is suspected of being present in the United States in violation of federal immigration laws.”

With respect to the 2nd condition; the complaint filed states, “The Constitution affords the federal government the power to “establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization.” This is a fact that I will not dispute inasmuch as Article I of the U.S. Constitution specifically states ” “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.” Furthermore, § 8, cl. 4 of Article I states that among the many powers of the U.S. Congress is the authority, “To establish a uniform Rule of Naturalization, and uniform Laws on the subject of Bankruptcies throughout the United States.” In order to meet this condition the federal government will have to demonstrate how the Arizona law acts as an obstacle to the accomplishment and execution of the full purposes and objectives of Congress, and to do that the attorneys for the federal government will have to explain how reinforcing the currently existing federal immigration laws acts as an obstacle to the accomplishment and execution of the full purposes and objectives of Congress. In simpler terms they will be forced to explain the federal government’s agenda behind not enforcing the current immigration laws and demonstrate how their failure to enforce the current immigration laws is consistent with the constitutional foundation stated in the preamble to that document.

“WE THE PEOPLE of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity”

Personally, I believe that the federal government is going to have a tough time creating any credible argument in this regard. The United States General Accounting Office and other agencies of the federal government have released numerous reports to the United States Congress establishing beyond reasonable doubt that illegal aliens have had a disproportionate impact on the cost of American health care; that the increase in identity theft is directly proportionate to the increase in illegal aliens, that a disproportionate percentage of illegal aliens repeatedly commit violent sex crimes against women and children and that the majority of fraudulent claims for welfare benefits, social security and other federal and state subsidized entitlement programs are made by illegal aliens. Furthermore, the federal government will be forced to explain how anywhere between 10 and 40 million illegal alien criminals (85% of whom are from Mexico) does not constitute an invasion under the terms of ARTICLE IV § 4, and why neither the legislative nor the executive branch of the federal government has fulfilled their sworn obligation to uphold the law of the land and repel these foreign invaders.

It is hard to imagine how the federal government can pursue this case without making it entirely obvious that they have allowed up to 40 million foreign invaders, including many violent predators and child molesters to enter this country illegally for the benefit of the Democratic Party alone; they have overlooked the economic hardship these criminal invaders have caused to the individual states; they have disregarded the multitude of American citizens murdered, raped and traumatized by illegal alien predators along with the well substantiated statistical fact that nearly 5,000 American citizens are killed by illegal aliens every year and they have done this simply because they want to remain in power regardless of the cost and human suffering we experience. Essentially, the Democratic administration and legislature currently controlling the decision making process in Washington D.C. are more than happy to put the lives of American citizens in a position of great danger on the off-chance that the fear that is thereby generated among the general populace will overwhelm the American people’s desire to reduce the growth of government interference in our daily lives. A population that lives in constant fear is a population that demands greater protection, and our government is all too happy to provide that protection if we comply with their demands. The current Democrat administration and the Democrat controlled legislature are well aware of the substantial evidence that Middle Eastern terrorists are entering the United States across our southern border with Mexico. Some of these terrorists have been captured by the Border Patrol and in other cases Border Patrol agents have found significant evidence discarded by those who have successfully entered the country and disappeared into the general population. Reports published as a result of congressional investigations indicate that Middle Eastern religious fanatics and jihadists have established cells in major metropolitan cities around the nation, however, there is no way to stop these crazed fanatics from crossing our southern border with Mexico without adversely affecting the steady influx of illegal aliens from Mexico, Central and South America; illegal aliens who the entire Democratic Party is absolutely assured will cast fraudulent ballots for Democratic politicians thereby ensuring the Democrats the ability to continue their reign of power. The continued control of the federal government is the number one priority of the Democratic Party and they are willing to sacrifice national security, American lives, and the peace and tranquility of the United States of America to achieve their goal.

Personally, I would be disappointed in the intelligence of anyone who would read the postings on this site and accepted my word without skepticism. I am not in the business of recruiting a naive flock of followers, my goal is to open your eyes by shining the light of truth on the strategies and techniques of the self-serving political toads in the Democratic and the Republican Party who are dedicated to further undermining the liberty, freedom and prosperity of the United States of America.   I represent nothing but the search for truth and I am not interested in the accumulation of followers. Whether or not the damage that has already been done can be reversed, I cannot say. We are headed into a dark future filled with tyranny and there may be no way to stop the transformation, especially in light of the fact that so few are aware of anything beyond the useless information, lies and propaganda they read in the papers or see on the nightly news. It may already be too late, the American people have lost their authority over the their form of government and we are not likely to reverse that loss.

Despite the fate of our failing Republic, it is not too late for individuals to learn and appreciate the concept of liberty and freedom that once brought this nation together and it is not to late to pass that appreciation on to future generations.

Liberty is the natural state of all mankind, it is not derived from government, each of us, as individuals enter this life with the desire to live free of governmental restraint, to work out our own fate and set our destiny as we will.   Tyrants and despots will rise and fall but the essential nature of man will never be extinguished.   Because Liberty is the natural state of all mankind, tyrants and despots will always be plagued by those who would  resist.  This is more than fact; it is a fundamental law of nature; it is as binding as gravity and the passing of seasons.  From the seed of liberty springs freedom’s hope.

Harry Reid’s Newest Scam

Unlike Obama, Harry Reid aims to pay the labor unions up front for their support instead of dangling the carrot out there and jerking it away like Obama’s done with the labor sponsored “Employee Free Choice Act.” That’s not the way Harry works, besides that, Harry knows he’s got no credibility and if he can’t deliver first the union supporters just won’t be there for him at election time. The master of dubiously ethical practices has pulled a tactical maneuver that will allow him to plop the Police/Fire Monopoly-Bargaining Bill (S.3194/H.R.413) on the Senate floor with as little as 48 hours public notice, and he can do it with no prior Committee action beforehand. The House version of this “employee no choice” forced union legislation was authored by union-label Congressman Dale Kildee (D-Mich.) and it has been introduced misleadingly under the name “Public Safety Employer-Employee Cooperation Act.” S.3194/H.R.413 would institute a federal mandate foisting union “exclusive representation” (monopoly bargaining) on state and local police, firefighters, and other public-safety employees nationwide, including those states with Right to Work laws. Ultimately, the passage of S.3194/H.R.413 can be challenged in court as unconstitutional because it steps beyond the authority of the federal legislature into areas constitutionally reserved for the states. The labor lobbyist’s bought and paid for union allies in the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate have agreed to attach the bill to the emergency war funding appropriation, thereby carefully arranging a situation where anyone who opposes the biggest organized labor’s power grab in decades can be accused of withholding necessary funds from the military at a time when they are sorely needed. This bill translates directly into higher taxes and less money in your pocket because it puts the American taxpayer on the hook for the Union’s organizing efforts and the increase in benefits and pension plans that will certainly follow. Small communities that depend on volunteer police and firefighters for their safety will be forced to eliminate them, hire full time public safety employees and negotiate contracts with the union bosses who will control their new public safety workers. Many states and large metropolitan areas are already struggling with budget shortfalls because of their union agreements with public safety unions. Their pension funds are characteristically underfunded and the burden falls squarely on the backs of the tax payers who are forced to make up the difference. Furthermore, unionized law enforcement officers and firefighters have been known to go out on strike to force their demands. With the increasingly restrictive gun-control laws going into effect all over the country who is there to protect you and your family against the well-armed crooks when the cops decide to go on strike? Deciding to join or not join a labor union is a question best left up to the individual, and those who do not wish to join a labor union should not be forced to pay dues that are then given to the Democratic Party. Article I of the U.S. Bill of Rights establishes the right of the people to peacefully assemble. We have the right to associate with those we want to associate with and by contrast we have the right to not associate with those we do not like. It is morally reprehensible to force millions of Americans to give money to labor unions when those labor unions turn around and give that money to the Democratic Party even when a great number of their members would not vote for the candidates the unions are supporting. Many Local unions give as much as 85% of everything they take in from their members to the Democratic campaigns and to the party and that is the sole reason why the Democrats are so insistent about helping big labor. The fight has nothing to do with equity for workers, fairness or the right to choose to be represented or not; it is a scam to take away the worker’s right to avoid being forced into a labor union they want no part of. This legislation is to benefit the Democratic Party at the expense of the American taxpayer by making it easier for the unions to force workers into membership whether they like it or not and there is nothing right about that. The Democratic Party is not the “people’s party”, it is the party that uses people. The Public Safety Employer-Employee Cooperation Act has nothing to do with the war in Iraq or Afghanistan and certainly has nothering to do with national security. Harry Reid needs to have a few hundred copies of it shoved down his throat to gag him while he hopefully gets voted out of office.

Barack the Incompetent

There is an ongoing oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico that is far from containment. It has already destroyed far too much and there is no end in sight. It has destroyed the income and financial security for thousands of people and wrecked environmental damage with an impact that will be evident forty years from now, if not longer. The government’s response to this crisis has been to put the company that caused this catastrophe in charge of correcting the damage, and to this point that company has failed and the United States government led by Barack Obama does nothing.

The U.S. economy is dead, the federal government is borrowing $5 billion per day just to keep up appearances and nobody in Barack Obama’s administration has even the slightest idea about how to fix the problem. Millions of American citizens are out of work, losing their homes and watching their families go hungry and Barack Obama thinks that this is a good time to pass an amnesty bill to legalize the millions of foreign invaders living here illegally, institute a new guest worker program to bring even more foreign workers here to replace American workers and increase the Dream Act so that more foreign students can get free educations that are denied to American children. At his direction the House Appropriations Subcommittee for Homeland Security, cut the funding for Border, Immigration and Trade Security. Immigration enforcement has been thrown out the window and the door has been kicked wide open for anyone who wants to come here.

Today the Obama administration filed their lawsuit against the one state in the union that had the audacity to attempt to enforce the sovereignty of the American border. The federal government’s position in this lawsuit is that Arizona’s law usurps the federal government’s constitutional “pre-eminent authority” to regulate immigration. I predict that the federal government has nothing to stand on and will lose this case. They will appeal that decision and lose again. The Arizona law will stand because there is nothing unconstitutional about enforcing the law.

Barack Obama seems to have forgotten that the only “pre-eminent authority” in the United States of America is vested in the people. The sovereignty of this nation is in the hands of the people and the government is our servant. The American people will suffer many errors in judgment and poorly thought out legislative acts without any word of discontent being uttered, but when our government ceases entirely to serve our needs and begins to serve the needs of others to our great and grievous detriment then we must sit up and take notice. Our rights are being destroyed; our property is being taken away from us and given to foreigners while our protests go unheard and unnoticed. Our children and grandchildren, for generations to come will live only at the mercy of the government that owns them. Freedom and liberty are being intentionally killed off by our federal government and many still sit dumbly doing nothing because it has not yet destroyed the accumulated trappings of their comfortable lives. Our children will curse our names if the legacy we bequeath to them is slavery to an immoral state.

Our nation is falling into disarray, our environment and some of the most scenic wonders of our nation are being destroyed and our economy is failing miserably while our congress and the president work tirelessly to dismantle our constitution and create a new form of government that we neither want nor support. The American people must stop this insanity. In the last year and a half Obama has spent more time on the golf course and his seven vacations than he has spent running the nation. Maybe we should be grateful he isn’t in the oval office more.

For now the system of checks and balances seems to be working. The Judiciary, while somewhat flaky at times, has done the right thing with recent landmark decisions protecting the individual’s right to own firearms and by extending the right to spend money on elections to corporations; a right that labor unions have used to put so many Democrats in office. Despite sound logic and constitutional basis for both of these decisions, Obama publicly criticized the Supreme Court justices under the spotlight of national television while the Senate Democrats roared their approval of his unwarranted criticism.

Republican attorneys from 20 states have already filed suit over the Obamacare mandate that will force everyone to buy health insurance. The basis for most of these lawsuits is that the U.S. Congress has far exceeded their constitutional power with the requirement and that they have ventured too far into the jurisdiction reserved by the U.S. Constitution for the states alone. If the court determines that Congress has overstepped their authority there is a good chance that the entire health care reform bill could end up in the trash can.

The congressional Democrats, with Obama’s prodding have embarked on an unprecedented socialist drive to heavily regulate stockholder owned corporations, banks, health insurers and the energy industry. Obama’s push for cap and trade legislation will be the crowning achievement of his effort to regulate every aspect of American life and business. Eventually these heavy-handed government efforts to control the everyday activities of every person and business in the country will result in suits being filed and inevitably the question of their constitutionality will be raised.

Obama is working hard to stack the federal courts with liberal judges and judicial activists who will do his bidding. If he manages to get his appointees through the confirmation hearings now underway the system of checks and balances will cease to exist, the constitution will become meaningless, our individual rights may become lost forever and the federal government of the United States will, most likely, become the enemy of the people. I speak without certainty on these matters because I am far from infallible and I have no ability to see that far into the future. However, I can speak with certainty when I say that the United States government was founded upon constitutional principles which included a series of checks and balances that our current administration is working tirelessly to overcome. That is not to the benefit of the American people for the simple reason that it puts the government in the position of sovereignty that belongs to the people alone. The sole purpose of the American Revolutionary War was to take the sovereignty away from the King of England and give it to the people of the new Republic we now call the United States of America. The power and authority of the King became the power and authority of the people. The formation of our government came after the revolution and it’s authority to govern was granted by the sovereign people of the new nation that had been formed. Any attempt to reverse that order is contrary to the best interests of the American people because it replaces their freedom and liberty with the tyranny of an all-powerful government capable of eliminating their rights and liberties as it see fit for its own benefit. The form of government that Barack Obama desires to form is a collective form of government where the good of all takes precedent over the rights of the individual. In a collective form of government there is no freedom, there are no property rights and there is no liberty. Equality is achieved by taking the property of some and redistributing it to those who have less as the government sees fit. Prosperity cannot exist in a system of collective government where all property becomes the property of the state to be taken and redistributed as the state see fit to do. The ability to prosper to the highest possible level of one’s own ability is what has made this nation the envy of all others. The ability to prosper by the sweat and labor of one’s own initiative has been the sole motivating factor that brought millions of immigrants to this land from their distant homes where their labor produced riches for others and all property belonged to their masters. The whole idea that an individual could keep what he or she earned and that the ownership of the property they acquired was guaranteed as an inalienable right guaranteed to all men was a revolutionary idea of such magnificent proportion that few could believe such a concept existed. It was the dream of all who yearned for the freedom of a tyrant’s shackles, it was the one founding concept that made this nation what it became over the 233 years preceding the rise of Barack Obama and it is the antithesis of all that he and his fellow conspirators now seek to destroy forever.

The American people need to know that history is full of examples showing us that freedom lost is never regained. Once the chains are locked into place around our wrists those chains will remain locked forever after. The constitution will become a meaningless piece of paper and our inalienable rights will be limited to only what the government deems essential. The right to speak freely will cease to exist, the right to own firearms to defend yourself and your family against criminals, and more specifically, against the government, will be taken from us, due process will become what the government defines it, property rights will be the domain of the government and we will be the servants of the tyrants our ancestors struggled to escape by coming here so many years ago, and our children and grandchildren will grow up as slaves never knowing that which we gave away through our own apathy and ignorance. This is the true nature of the “Change” that Barack Obama promised to us and now works to implement across our land. It must be resisted at all costs, and by any means necessary. Balance must be restored.

Censored News about BP Cash in Obama’s Pockets

You would expect that with all the disastrous news on television and in the papers regarding the oil spill in the Gulf Of Mexico that at least a few of the so-called journalists would mention the fact that Barack Obama and elected representatives in the U.S. Congress have been taking campaign contributions for years from BP, the global corporation that owns the Deepwater Horizon platform where the BP designated MC252 well exploded initiating the single largest environment catastrophe in recorded history.

According to an article on the Politico website, BP and its employees have given more than $3.5 million to federal candidates over the past 20 years through the corporation’s political action committees and over a half-million dollars donated by individual employees. Furthermore, according to the Politico article, the majority of this money was filtered directly to Barack Obama, presumably for his campaign efforts, including $77,051 he received fro BP while he was in the U.S. Senate. On top of the contributions to Obama and other elected officials, BP spent nearly &16 million on lobbying efforts to influence energy policy in 2009.

Senator Mary Landrieu (D-La.) has been identified as the top congressional recipient of BP’s contributions, raking in nearly $17,000 in 2008 alone. Both the current and past executives of BP’s U.S. operations office have personally donated to Landrieu’s campaign treasury.

The Democrats are not the only recipients of BP money, Don Young, the Republican Representative from Alaska has received nearly as much as Obama. George Voinovich, the Republican Senator from Ohio got his share of the oil corporation’s money, and John McCain has his Republican arm buried in BP’s pocket all the way up to his elbow, which is pretty tricky considering where he normally keeps his head. Despite his advanced age, McCain is obviously one very agile politician.

Thinking back over all of Barack Obama’s false promises of hope and change, the BS about cleaning up government ethics, transparency, sending the lobbyists packing, and giving the American people back their voice in the U.S. government, to say nothing of the outright lie that he was not accepting contributions from federal lobbyists and political action committees, we should be able to assume that any credible disclosure of this snake oil salesman’s true nature would be headline news. Unfortunately, that is not the case. We are treated to the latest update on the U.N.’s additional meaningless and entirely ineffective sanctions against Iran, more anal verbiage flowing from the lips of Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke about the out of control American economy, billionaire Whitman’s California victory, and CNN’s insight as to why Obama doesn’t dare act like an “Angry Black Man,” throughout which they avoid mentioning the fact that Barack Obama is about as “Black” as Al Gore’s daddy, but not a mention of BP bribing Obama and a good number of Democrat and Republican elected officials.

Where is the journalistic sensationalism that we are supposed to be seeing? What happened to the “go for the throat” reporters we’ve seen in the past; the sort of assholes that jump a terrorist victims father with the news that his son is dead while asking “How do you fell about your son being beheaded.” Why aren’t we seeing video images of Obama being backed into a corner by hundreds of foam covered microphones shoved into his face by reporters screaming “How does it feel to be the biggest lying sack of shit in the Nation?”

Do you think it is a matter of forgetting the articulate outrage expressed at lobbyists during Barack Obama’s 2007 campaign speeches, his stirring senatorial condemnation of lobbyists during the Washington, D.C. Lobbying Reform Summit of January 2006, and Obama’s “The Bedrock of This Nation” speech delivered at the Iowa Democratic caucus on 3 January 2008, where he received a cheering standing ovation after saying,

“We are choosing hope over fear. We’re choosing unity over division, and sending a powerful message that change is coming to America. You said the time has come to tell the lobbyists who think their money and their influence speak louder than our voices that they don’t own this government—we do. And we are here to take it back.”

Is it possible that the American Media, the television reporters and the newspaper editors knew all along who was financing Barack Obama’s presidential campaign and kept their mouths shut just like they are doing now?  Is the Pope a Catholic?

It is no coincidence that BP forks over millions of dollars to these politicians and gets the approval to go after this oil without an environmental impact study being done. Nobody gets that sort of preferential treatment without greasing the political skids. Obama, Landrieu, Voinovich, McCain, etc. get their pockets filled with money and we get stuck with the bill for the consequences of their corruption and a mess that will be with us forever.

Freedom of the press was established on the principle that the American people needed to be fully informed by an unbiased press, that the free flow of information was necessary to maintain a fully informed public, and that, to be truly effective and honest, our form of government was entirely dependent on the ability of the people to be well informed.

The fact that the report of this scandal has not been published on the front page of every American newspaper is proof that we, the American people, are be denied the truth, and the accurate unbiased information we must have in order to make truly informed decisions regarding our future and the destiny of this nation is being intentionally withheld.

Hysterical Paranoia – The Obama Gun Grab

Last Tuesday my wife received the email below and immediately forwarded it to me to check on. Since she is probably closer to being a gun nut than I am her concern is understandable. She sends me a lot of strange things that are forwarded to her, and like this, most of them are garbage. The letter she received is as follows:

On Wednesday the Obama administration took its first major step in a plan to ban all firearms in the United States . The Obama administration intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms. The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened.

Obama can appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in the United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws. Does that mean Obama is telling the truth? What it means is that there will be no publicized gun control debates in the media or votes in Congress. We will wake up one morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment. This has happened in other countries, past and present!

First of all, the link given at the end of the email is functional; however the story it connects to says nothing about banning the private ownership of firearms by U.S. citizens. While some politicians in the United States government might like to ban all firearms, passing a law against the private ownership of firearms would not make them all magically disappear. There is no constitutional provision by which Barack Obama may “bypass” Congress, as the email above claims. All international treaties require the approval of two-thirds of the Senate before they are considered ratified and in effect according to Article 2, Section 2 of the United States Constitution.

If two-thirds of the Senate did vote in favor of the treaty Article 6 provides that, “This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the contrary notwithstanding.” To me that seems to mean that if Obama wanted to enter into a treaty of this nature and he could get two-thirds of the Senate to buy into it then it would become the law of the land regardless of what prior constitutional provisions or state laws had to say on the matter. Following that it would be immediately challenged by hordes of individuals and special interest groups and ultimately end up in the Supreme Court. If the Supreme Court upheld the law enacted as a result of the treaty then the private ownership of firearms would be prohibited by law. However, the treaty that the article linked to in the above email says nothing about the private ownership of firearms and to the best of my knowledge that treaty has nothing to do with the private ownership of firearms; but for the sake of argument, lets say it does and all the above requirements are met and a law is passed prohibiting the private ownership of firearms.

Such a law would be enforced by the same government that has repeatedly admitted that it would be far too costly to round up 12 million illegal aliens and send them home. How many firearms do you think there are in the United States? First off, most states do not require the registration of rifles or handguns and many require no permit to carry a firearm openly. Any weapon purchased in a state where there is no requirement for registration is going to be fairly tough to find. Any weapon purchased prior to the enactment of a registration requirement in any given state is going to be pretty tough to find. Any firearm sold to a second, third or fourth party without any paperwork is going to be pretty tough to find. Any firearm that is given to someone without the completion of any paperwork is going to be pretty tough to find. Any registered weapon that has been “stolen” or “lost” is going to be pretty tough to find. While it might become impossible to go into a gun store and buy a new firearm, a nationwide prohibition of gun ownership by private individuals wouldn’t do diddely squat for those who already own one, or two, or six hundred. The Eighteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution prohibited the sale, manufacture, and transportation of alcohol for consumption and we know how well that worked out.

The bottom line is that the U.S. government can pass any law it feels necessary but the people of the United States are not robots subject to every command given to them. Like all governments, the U.S. government exists solely because we allow it to exist. In order for any law to be effective, the individuals who make up the society of those governed must give their consent to obey. No tyranny or dictatorship can exist if the people refuse to give their consent to its authority. Within the next ten years the American people will be looking back at this point in time and scratching their heads wondering how everybody could have been so stupid. History will record Barack Obama as being the one of the worse presidents in American history and we will be bitching and complaining about the guy that replaced him.

Joe Biden Gives the “Devastating Blow” Job another media spin

The Associated Press reported tonight that the U.S. military and the government of Iraq claimed a major victory against al-Qaida today by killing the terror group’s two top figures in this country in an air and ground assault on their safe house near Tikrit. The Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki announced the killings of Abu Omar al-Baghdadi and Abu Ayyub al-Masri at a news conference while gloating over photographs of their bloody corpses. U.S. military officials, who claimed to have killed al-Masri back on 3 October 2006, inspected the bloody and mangled corpses and confirmed that both of the individuals were indeed very much dead. There is a distinct difference between confirming a mangled mess of blood, guts and broken bones as being dead and positively identifying those remains as being the person in question. Meanwhile, from a respectably safe distance of 6,211 miles away Vice President Joe “Blabbermouth” Biden called the two dead human beings a “potentially devastating blow” to al-Qaida in Iraq.” Biden’s comment may sound good to some, and it can be assumed that it certainly sounded good to him because he let fly with it, however, Al Qaeda is not a group, but a growing network of many. The death of these two individuals is far from devastating, even if they are who they are claimed to be. Al Qaeda is like a Pez dispenser, you knock back the head and consume what comes out, but another immediately replaces it. For all the “devastating blows” Al Qaeda has reportedly suffered in the last eight or nine years, the network seems to be pretty healthy. If the U.S. ever hopes to bring this conflict to a conclusion, hopefully a conclusion that leaves us on top, then we should quit playing political football and let the U.S. military go in there and end it. Abandon the rules of engagement stopping our troops from acting decisively, forget about the collateral damage that is a part of every armed conflict and let the soldiers do what soldiers do best.

Obama Victorius – Liberty Vanquished

It has often been said that cowards suffer a thousand deaths. The response of the people in this once great land to this latest legislative travesty further affirms that the spirit of liberty has been vanquished from this nation of groveling and cowardly slaves.

No longer do we control our own destiny, but must fearfully shake in fright as we wait in the confines of our dark and dreary shelters while our lords and masters decide what next oppressing burden is to be added to our stooping shoulders. Ours is the life of those who choose to remain timid and fearful, while the tumultuous life of liberty is reserved only for the brave.

The burden added this day is not the first but it is one of the boldest yet strapped to our backs. The fear of our fathers and of ourselves have already eroded the once inalienable rights that supported the dignity of free men who once set their own course through life with backs straight and heads held high.

The path to freedom was paved with the sacrificial blood of brave men and women who willingly went to their death for the slim chance to achieve the liberty that nature ordains as mankind’s natural state. It has taken more than two centuries of diligent and concerted effort by the swindlers and charlatans of government authority to pry loose the fingers of liberty, slowly dissolve the established rights those revolutionaries wrought and restore the shackles of servitude necessary to transform the population of the land of the free and the home of the brave to a land ruled by tyranny filled with hirelings and slaves.

The same flag may wave from state to state across the land but it now symbolizes the vision we lost and weakness of our resolve.

Junk Science & Government Policy

The United States government’s investment is scientific research has a long and beneficial history. Government subsidized scientific research has brought phenomenal levels of prosperity to this nation’s people. Government funded scientific research ended America’s war with the Japanese, it has brought about cures and vaccines for numerous diseases, prolonged the lifespan of American citizens, put out nation on the surface of the moon, increased the speed of our communications and affected virtually every aspect of our daily lives. Few would disagree that when federal tax dollars are used to subsidize scientific research the American people should share in the benefits produced. However, when junk science becomes the political cause du jour and is used adversely by the U.S. government to regulate private business and restrict the activities of American citizens then we all have a serious problem that needs to be resolved.

In Barack Obama’s first State of the Union address he used the word “energy” fifteen times and the word “climate” three times. He stated “I know that there are those who disagree with the overwhelming scientific evidence on climate change. But even if you doubt the evidence, providing incentives for energy efficiency and clean energy are the right thing to do for our future — because the nation that leads the clean energy economy will be the nation that leads the global economy.

To date all of the theories about global warming and the affect, if any, it has on the climate of this planet remain unproven and the idea that global warming represents a significant threat to the environment or to mankind is, at this point in time, utterly absurd. The alleged “scientific evidence” has been repeatedly shown to be seriously flawed and in many cases fraudulent data has been used to intentionally reach unwarranted conclusions.

Coral reefs off the coast of Florida are dying off because the water is too cold for them. The Antarctic is getting colder and the glaciers of Iceland are getting increasingly thick. Sea levels are rising, but they are doing so at an extremely low rate, and while the temperature of Earth has increased by a minuscule amount, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn are also showing minor temperature rises. The glacial melting that has been the topic of many overblown and sensationalized news reports is far from a recent development inasmuch as it began with the onslaught of the current interglacial period – 10 to 20 thousand years ago.

Scientists first developed the process for taking the Earth’s temperature in the 1880s so our selection of data is somewhat limited. The margin of error for this process is generally assumed to be 14 °C ± 0.7 °C. Between 1880 and it has been demonstrated that the change in the Earth’s overall temperature is +0.6 °C ± 0.2 °C. That is significantly less than the margin of error for taking the temperature of the planet. That is far from looking like any sort of a dire threat to humanity and yet many Americans have gullibility allowed themselves to be conned into taking this garbage seriously and are even clamoring for the government to take the necessary steps to reverse it, as if they knew how to do that. The fact is that most politicians and a good portion of the scientists who came up with it in the first place, don’t really know what they are looking at or what it all means.

For the last 2.5 million years or so the bipedal humanoids on the planet Earth have tolerated and survived through the best and the worst of whatever weather conditions were thrown their way. Mild weather conditions were greatly enjoyed by all while the extremes of nature’s harsher weather tempered the species as it forced them into a heartless struggle for survival. From the darkest recesses of forgotten time, when mankind’s most distant ancestor first stood upright and surveyed the vastness of his domain, until this date in time, little has changed in this regard. With time and research we have come to understand that the climate of the planet we live on is affected by a large number of variables such as variations in the brightness of the sun, cosmic ray flux, solar energy output, volcanic events, the distance between the sun and Earth, the axial wobble and orbital eccentricities of the Earth, the amount of cloud coverage, variations in the circulation of the oceans, the amount of particulate matter in the atmosphere and tectonic movement. Despite the vastness of our accumulated knowledge and the high degree of intelligence we believe we have attained, we can control exactly none of these variables. We can determine the global mean temperature of the planet, but since our scale of comparative values is so limited, that information is virtually useless to us. Furthermore, the planet Earth did not come with a manual that we know of so who is to say what the correct temperature of the planet is suppose to be. When you get right down to it we don’t have the foggiest idea if the planet is too hot, too cold or right where it is suppose to be.

The entire idea of global warming is derived from the output of computer modeling software. The groups and individuals who run these software programs load them up with an untold number of assumptions and correction factors, countless workarounds to keep the data churning and as many adjustments to the numerous parameters as are required to get the software to function. The sum total of all data input to the program does not necessarily reflect reality as far as our atmosphere is concerned and the final results are no more an accurate prediction of the future than what we could find by deciphering hidden messages derived from tarot cards, a bag full of rune stones or the entrails of a dead goat.

Despite the hysterically absurd claims of global warming proponents armed with their fraudulent data and junk science, politicians around the world have shown no reluctance to jump onto the global warming train. Rahm Emanuel revealed a core tenant of modern day politics when, speaking of the nation’s economic situation, he advised Barack Obama, “never let a crisis go to waste.” There is no better motivator than fear, and imaginary threats often stoke the public’s fear more effectively than real threats. In fact, with careful planning and the right amount of spin, imaginary threats can provoke so much fear in the general populace that the real threats are overlooked. Bad weather is something we never run out of, it is always unexpected, we have never been able to predict or control it, and few people remember what the weather conditions were like from one year to the next. Like the classic “he said / she said” argument or the existence of God, global warming can neither be proved nor disproved. Horrific scenarios can be easily constructed and thrown out to the public as if they were highly probable, and because our collective knowledge regarding climate and weather is so limited, the threats can never be proven or disproven. An emotionally distraught population on the verge of panic, in response to an intentionally provoked fear of an imaginary threat, is a population ripe for manipulation.

In the effort to avoid certain extinction as a result of disastrous climate change for which there is no credible supporting evidence, the American people have willingly accepted some of the most harebrained legislation imaginable. The development of our own natural resources has been prohibited and we have become dependent on the more expensive resources of countries that hold us in low regard. Simple, cheap and entirely safe incandescent light bulbs have been banned by the United States Congress in favor of much more expensive compact fluorescent bulbs containing hazardous mercury. Gasoline, the substance that fuels the American economy, allows millions of American citizens to commute to work and facilitates the delivery of products from manufacturers to wholesalers and on to retailers is, by legislative mandate, required to contain 10% ethanol. We have been told that in order to meet this requirement, the tax money of American citizens must be used to subsidize huge agricultural corporations, fuel blenders and ethanol refineries. It has driven the price of gasoline through the roof, reduced the amount of acreage in the U.S. dedicated to the production of food, does absolutely nothing to reduce the so-called “greenhouse gases,” and increases the risk of air pollution deaths relative to gasoline by 9%. The addition of ethanol to gasoline actually increases the level of ozone in our atmosphere, decreases wildlife habitat, and increases the amount of photochemical smog we must breath, aggravates medical conditions such as asthma and distorts the free market economy by artificially increasing the price of the feedstock used now for ethanol production. Furthermore, by mandating that all gasoline in the U.S. contain a 10% mix of ethanol, the federal government has increased the emission of carcinogenic aldehydes, such as formaldehyde and acetaldehyde, by as much a 40%, and all of this has been done purportedly to save us from the threat of global warming, a threat that is, to date, unsubstantiated by empirical scientific evidence. Despite the numerous problems caused by the legislation requiring ethanol in gasoline, the American people are stuck with it because it enhances the economic welfare and prosperity of the large corporations and agricultural conglomerates involved and while we are forced to foot the bill for this nonsense, the politicians reap the rewards through campaign donations and lucrative deals cut behind the scenes with agricultural lobbyists.

While the list of insane legislation is far from comprehensive, I would be entirely remiss if I failed to include the recent legislative effort to establish cap and trade regulations, the single largest enhancement to the federal government’s revenue since the implementation of the income tax. The American economy is seriously tanking, millions of people are unemployed and facing bankruptcy, foreclosure, homelessness and hunger. Businesses are going belly up in record numbers, the ones that have survived to this point have done so by cutting back and laying off and all across the country strip malls and shopping areas are pockmarked with the paint covered windows of business that have already gone under. Instead of alleviating the unwarranted financial burden our government levies against the source of our nation’s prosperity, the United States Congress, in their benevolent wisdom, has seen fit to implement cap and trade legislation and accelerate the demise of companies now barely hanging on. Carbon taxes and cap and trade regulations are financial penalties levied against companies that emit carbon dioxide and other “greenhouse gases,” which may, or may not be causing global warming. No clear indication exists to warrant a belief that increased carbon taxes or cap and trade regulations will have even the slightest effect on the environment, however, they will make it much more difficult for struggling businesses to remain solvent, and even more importantly (to the government) they will significantly increase government revenue in a manner that “appears” to be more of a fee than a tax. They reap the benefits, we shoulder the burden. The unbelievably wealthy corporations that have always been identified as the major source of pollutants will easily be able to meet the high auction price of carbon credits and purchase their legitimacy and the smaller companies, the ones that most middle-class Americans work for, will either succumb to the bureaucratic nightmare of this convoluted system, or be forced to reduce their scale of operations to meet the new compliance requirements. Carbon credits will become the nation’s hottest commodity and insanely huge profits will be made by those who figure out how to manipulate the system to their financial advantage, but the effect of this added burden will be catastrophic for many smaller businesses and the consequence of the ill-advised legislation will be an increase in prices and a higher unemployment rate.

As if matters couldn’t get any worse, on Wednesday, February 5, 2010, while speaking to a number of state governors, Barack Obama announced a the implementation of new initiatives intended to increase the use of ethanol by moving to a 15% blend of ethanol in all gasoline sold in the United States. The success of his plan may result in a reduction of foreign oil over a long period of time but it will likely cause an increase in fuel costs for consumers as refineries are retooled to meet the changes required. In addition to the higher costs and the increased output of carcinogenic aldehydes into the atmosphere, it is estimated that more than 3 million American families will be left without transportation because the mixture will destroy the engines of many pre-1998 automobiles as well as those of many luxury cars. Along with the decrease in fuel efficiency, the increase of carcinogenic pollutants and the accelerated fouling of carburetors and fuel injectors, ethanol attacks the elastomers that bind together plastic automobile parts together. Ethanol causes rubber hoses, seals and gaskets dry out and crack, it seeps through fuel lines increasing the likelihood of engine fires and it can destroy some fiberglass fuel tanks. The primary impact of the increased ethanol content will be felt by the lower middle-class individuals at or below the poverty line who are driving, and in some cases, living in the older, pre-1998 automobiles that they can afford to purchase. Inasmuch as the upper middle-class and wealthier Americans will be able to afford the cost of new cars and the requisite engine modifications to their existing automobiles, the impact on the lower middle-class and poorer families will disproportionately affect many Hispanic and African American families.

The United States government should consider science in the establishment and implementation of new policy, however, that consideration should be limited to well-developed, repeatable scientific findings developed through empirical scientific experimentation. The unsupported hysterical allegations of environmental alarmists armed with questionable computer modeling software should be discounted until such time that the results of their modeling can be supported empirically. Anything less is political manipulation and should be considered detrimental to the welfare of the American people and the economy of the United States.

The Last Thing Haiti Needs is Money

Barack Obama has pledged to send $100 million American tax dollars to Haiti for earthquake aid. That $100 million is in addition to the $800 million we sent to Haiti between 2004 and 2008, and it doesn’t count against the $282 million the U.S. Senate proposed for them in the next annual foreign assistance budget, nor will it be a part of the $165 million proposed by the U.S. House of Representatives. Obviously, the people in Haiti need help desperately. The country has been devastated by the recent earthquake, thousands of people are dead and many of the structures have collapsed. The people need help but sending money to a historically corrupt government that has already stolen everything that we have sent them in the last five or six years doesn’t seem like a bright thing to be doing. They need rescue workers to help dig out the trapped and dead, they need demolition crews to clear the rubble of the nation’s collapsed buildings, they need construction crews to start building new shelters for the displaced people, new schools for the children and hospitals for the sick and injured. They need road crews to go in and rebuild their demolished streets and highways. They need portable shelters until house can be build and throughout the entire process they need food, water, clothing and medical care. Sending them $100 million dollars is not the way to ensure that the people of Haiti get these things they need. The $800 million we have already sent to Haiti plus the $7 million that was sent to them by other nations and charities has not been used to build roads, schools or hospitals. It was not used to provide the people with food, medical assistance or to improve their education. Nobody really knows where that money went or what it was spent on but the people of Haiti know that none of came their way. Most of the homes in Haiti, before the earthquake, were without safe drinking water, sewage or electricity. Nearly 50% of the population is illiterate and the majority of the population lives on less than $2 dollars a day. One out of every eight children dies before their fifth birthday because of the squalid living conditions in a country where people still die from diseases like malaria, typhoid and dengue fever and other diseases that most of the civilized world long ago ceased to be concerned about. Sending money to the Haitian government is not going to help the people of Haiti. It is like throwing a drowning man an anchor.

The United States of American has unemployed engineers, light and heavy construction workers, electricians, plumbers, heavy equipment operators, welders, carpenters, laborers and countless other occupations and craftsmen all sitting around with nothing to do except watch the illegal aliens work at the jobs we used to have. Instead of sending money to the Haitian government, send shiploads of knowledgeable workers, supplies, building materials, food and medicine and use all of the money to fund the relief effort. The $15 million that the government of Haiti received from the U.S. taxpayers and from other countries in the last five years has not been used to help the people and there is no reason to believe that another $100 million will go to help the people of Haiti either. They need help, not money. Other than a cigarette factory, a bunch of Barbancourt rum distilleries and a couple of textile factories that assemble the pre-cut parts to clothing items that first have to imported, there is nothing in Haiti. They’ve got tons of mangrove trees but no lumber mills capable of producing the quantities of lumber needed to replace all of destroyed buildings. There is no cement plant, no steel mill nor any reliable power generation in the entire country. What good is a $100 million dollars going to do them? They can’t eat it, they can’t build a house out of it, and there certainly isn’t anywhere in the country to buy what they need so what’s the point? The answer to that should be pretty obvious. Even though our government officials know very well that the money will be siphoned off and spirited into secret bank accounts in Sweden or somewhere else they will send it because the American people don’t know any better and think that it is the right thing to do. Obama can pat himself on the back. He can use the opportunity to boost his dwindling popularity ratings among black Americans, and slam George Bush, and the entire Republican Party, in the head for the federal government’s response to Katrina. It is not an indication of any large degree of compassion for Obama; it is merely a politically savvy thing for a typically sociopathic politician to do. Its Obama way of saying to the American people, “See, unlike my predecessor who didn’t care about anybody, I care about everyone, I sent them money, your money. Sure, we are broke and can’t afford to do it, but what the hell, its only money and we can print more while you, and the next ten generations, work your asses off to pay the bill.” According to www.usdebtclock.org, which I checked at 3:30 pm Pacific Stand Time today, the US National Debt was at $12.3 trillion dollars (it was at $5.7 trillion when Bush took office and $7.8 trillion when he left office 8 years later). For the mathematically challenged that works out to about $113,000 for each U.S. Taxpayer. Can we really afford to give away money we don’t have?
