Forwarding Questionable Documents

Posted in Illegal Aliens & Immigration Reforms on January 30th, 2007 by MorningStar

Someone recently forwarded an email to me containing what was purported to be an interview conducted by Jim Moore.  I don’t have any idea if the article is legitimate or not but I doubt that it is.  I have seen quite a few articles like this and I can’t help but wonder if the people creating this garbage know the real damage they are doing to the cause they are so desperate to help that they would create this sort of trash.

There is an incredible amount of junk floating around the net regarding both sides of the immigration issue.  A lot of it is highly charged rhetoric designed to purposely anger the people reading it while giving them no factual information.  I don’t know if Jim Moore actually published the interview in question.  I do know there is a Jim Moore who is a reporter in Houston and his style of writing is usually much more professional than that of the interview reprinted here.  When I read stuff like this it makes me wonder why the person fabricating it is so desperate to help their cause that they would resort to a very childish form of stereotyping when there is real ammunition readily available that would bolster their aims far better than this feeble attempt to paint an entire group of people with the same incredulous brush.  If articles like this questionable interview accomplish anything at all it is certainly not something beneficial to those who would like to see an end to the burdens of the current illegal invasion because it strengthens the resolve of those who stand in opposition to what they view as a racial issue and there is no better way to lose a war than by supplying the opposition with weapons they can use against you.  I tend to question everything.  I’ve found that this is a good habit to develop.  It keeps me from getting sucked into somebody else’s BS.  There are plenty of reasons why American citizens should be upset about our government and our politicians pandering to illegal aliens.  These are good reasons based on factual information that can easily be validated by statistical information in the public domain.  The detrimental effects of 18 million illegal trespassers invading the US are numerous.  Degradation of our educational system, our health care system, the Social Security System and social service infrastructure are blatantly obvious.  There is also the damage done to the American economy by illegal aliens sending 20 billion dollars a year out of the country and the fact that these illegal workers reduce the wages and benefits of lawful U.S. residents.  Illegal aliens are not hard-working honest people forced to violate one minor law.  Illegal aliens are not immigrants in any sense of the word, they are criminals.  They violate American immigration laws when they sneak into this country without authorization, they either work under the table without paying federal income tax in violation of American tax laws or, they work under counterfeit or stolen identifications in violation of American laws against identity theft or American laws prohibiting the falsification of legal documents.  In violation of American motor vehicle laws, these illegal aliens get around driving automobiles that are not insured while they possess no valid driver’s license in their own name.  When they get into accidents with these cars, they flee the accident because they know they will end up getting deported if they stick around.  The contempt these individuals have for American law knows few, if any boundaries and the continued success of their existence in the U.S. is predicated entirely on their willingness to violate one American law after another.  Their behavior does not demonstrate a willingness to earn the right to become a U.S. citizen and the American people who believe these people come here looking for American citizenship are foolishly vain.  These are people who are very proud of their own country and culture.  They want to remain citizens of Mexico, Honduras, Nicaragua, or wherever they came from while obtaining the benefits like employment, free education for their offspring, medical care, in-state tuitions and government subsidized housing . Their main attraction is employment and their loyalty is with the country they came from, not the one they illegally entered. They want benefits earned and subsidized by middle class Americans. What illegal aliens want are benefits of American residence without paying the same price American citizens are required to pay and they are very content to allow those same American citizens to shoulder the growing burden of their illegal existence.  Furthermore, when we, as American citizens, balk at the outrage of the crushing burden we are being forced to carry as a direct result of the continued presence of 18 million illegal trespassers we are called heartless racists and selfish elitists.  Instead of responding to these allegations with the further dissemination of inane interviews designed to foster nothing but racism we should be asking ourselves and our politicians What is racist about not wanting people to sneak into America and steal benefits we have set aside for legal aliens, senior citizens, children and other legal residents? What is it about race that entitles people to violate our laws and trash our County while they steal the American Dream to make themselves more comfortable when they return home to Mexico?

If you really want to know what the illegal aliens think about America and American citizens you would be better off getting the information directly from the source and there are few web sites better suited to this purpose than the “The Voice of Aztlan” otherwise known as “La Voz de Aztlan.”  Much of this site’s content is in English and the message it carries speaks a lot louder than anything you have ever read in American newspapers.

http://www.aztlan.net/

If that does not effectively demonstrate the real intention behind those who encourage the illegal invasion of our country by millions of trespassers then take it one step further by visiting a site where they really spell it out for you.

http://www.mayorno.com/aztlan.html

Hopefully, by intelligent research and the accumulation of verifiable evidence you will begin to see that the problem is far greater than the myth portrayed and that this problem is not simply about a few hundred thousand poor but honest illegal aliens looking for a better way of life but, about millions of criminally inclined invaders encouraged to participate in an economic war that threatens to bring America to its knees and return to Mexico thousands of square miles of U.S. territory voluntarily sold to our country by Mexico in 1847; property that has been developed by millions of American citizens for the last 167 years. The real message we should all be paying attention to is not the one demonstrated in the questionable articles forwarded all over the internet by well meaning but ill-advised individuals. The real message is the one that portrays the honest fact of the very real damage that is being done to our country every day by both the illegal trespassers who come here as well as the pandering politicians who encourage this invasion and the unethical corporations that finance their campaigns. The real message is that American citizens, generous and gullible, are slowly allowing themselves to become convinced that these trespassers actually have rights, that their presence provides some benefit and that all opposition is rooted in the racist tendencies of very pampered elitists. The real message is that the threat is not coming at us through ignorant aliens incapable of anything but circular arguments lacking in logic but, by very intelligent human beings who have accurately analyzed the psychology of the American people and know exactly how to elicit sympathy for their cause and distract our attention by hiding their true intentions behind a veil of humanistic camouflage while working within our own systems to successfully lobby for legislative changes to American laws that will make their goals easier to achieve. The real message is that many of the American people are sitting on their thumbs doing nothing while American politicians of every stripe, American labor unions greedy for more dues money and American corporations looking for a cheaper source of slave labor are all playing directly into the hands of those who would destroy this nation and if we don’t wake up very quickly we are going to soon see laws passed that will legitimize our own destruction.

Slam it on the rocks

“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”
Benjamin Franklin

In the United States, much like Great Britain and many other Western nations, we have allowed our essential liberties to be eroded piecemeal for so many years that today when we look about, we discover that we are no more a free nation than those living under tyranny in nations we condemn.  We have all become slaves to the governments that rule over us, the politicians that represent only themselves and the political parties striving for growth and power without the slightest regard for the common man.
Democracy may be the greatest form of government mankind has ever managed to develop and, with the attributes invested in it by the founders of this nation, in terms of liberty, justice, equality and sheer opportunity freely set before the people, no other government can hope to compare.  Unfortunately, the protections those founders sought to weave so tightly into the constitution they created were not sufficient to protect us from the internal threats they predicted we would someday be forced to face.  The blame is not theirs, however, we were warned from the very beginning that the price of liberty was eternal vigilance.  Those gentlemen were barely cold in their graves when we first started handing over small bits and pieces of the precious liberty they fought so hard to give us.  From the vantage point we hold today we can look back and see the steady remittance of personal freedoms freely squandered away in exchange for the chains and shackles of government regulation that even now encroaches into every waking moment and activity conceivable and “freedom” has become an illusive dream and a word that is no longer defined in the fire of hearts of those who hold it dearly so much as a legal term that we have allowed others to define for us.
As a form of government, democracy has been around for at least 2600 years and may have existed even before the Athenians put it to such good use.  Since their passing, it has been adopted and used as a system of government many times in many different places.  Historically the reasons for its failure are curiously very consistent in their similarity and we know them well because we witness their existence today within our own hopelessly abused system of government where power and influence has been transferred from the citizens to the corporations and representatives pander to minority special interests to insure the votes they need to remain in office while the needs of the majority are minimalzed and ignored and laws are passed that clearly demonstrate the needs of the monolithic government come first and the people, if they are considered at all, are given very little credence.  Fortunately, Democracy is a persistent form of government despite it seemingly short longevity and even though it is periodically required to turn it on its butt and slam it hard against the rocks to keep it working, it does seem to keep coming back to its original starting point repeatedly.
Isn’t it about time to start slamming this thing against rocks?

Kids Barred From School Bus Because They Speak English

Minn. Mom Complains Kids Barred From Bus
ST. PAUL, Minn. (Associated Press) — A school bus driver let Rachel Armstrong’s three children board the bus Monday morning, but he warned them that he wouldn’t give them a ride home that afternoon, nor could they ever ride his route again.
The problem, according to Armstrong: her 10-year-old twin girls and 8- year-old son speak English. She says school administrators told her the route had been designated for non-English speakers only.

Armstrong says she had to leave work early on Wednesday to pick up her stranded kids from Phalen Lake Elementary School.

St. Paul schools spokeswoman Dayna Kennedy acknowledged Thursday that school officials handled the situation poorly, but said language had nothing to do with the incident. The reason Armstrong’s children were ineligible to ride the bus was that they lived outside the school’s attendance area, she said.

“It is our responsibility to ensure the safety of these kids, and we made a mistake,” Kennedy said. “The kids should have gotten home that day.”

The bus route was meant to serve a language academy at Phalen Lake for children learning English.

The Armstrongs said they learned that when they moved last year, they landed outside of Phalen’s attendance area.

Harry Reid may speak for some, but I am not one of them

Posted in Politics & Government on January 11th, 2007 by MorningStar

In response to the President’s speech last night from the White House, Democratic Senate majority leader Harry Reid, appointed himself the voice of every American citizen and all elected officials before issuing the proclamation: “In choosing to escalate the war, the president virtually stands alone.”
As an American citizen I can only respond to this by saying that Harry Reid’s over-bloated sense of personal accomplishment has obviously gone to his head where the gases formed by the process of their fermentation now threaten to over-pressurize his skull.  Harry Reid does not speak for me nor does he speak for any of the numerous individuals who remain unaffected by the malicious lies and manipulations of the Democrats and their associated sympathizers.
I am certainly not alone when I say that I entirely support the policy of President George W. Bush with regard to Irag, Afghanistan, Somalia and the entire war on terror.  To restate that comment in simpler terms so even Harry Reid can understand it, I stand beside President Bush.  I am not alone and George W. Bush is not alone.

The Invasion of Criminal Tresspassers

Posted in Illegal Aliens & Immigration Reforms on January 9th, 2007 by MorningStar

Criminal Tresspassers

The San Francisco Chronicle, an incredulous bastion of liberal bias, carried a “news article” today stating that the cost of the U.S. – Mexico fence could be as much as $49 billion dollars over the anticipated estimates.  Quoting a December 12, 2006 congressional report purported to be “nonpartisan,” the credibility challenged SF Chronicle set the expected cost of the fence at the well-rounded sum of $70 million dollars per mile.  With 5,280 feet to the mile this works out to roughly $13,258.00 per foot.
As a patriotic American citizen I decided to perform a bit of free service for our government with a bit of shopping on the net.  They should be overjoyed to find that there are private sector fencing companies in this country willing to provide the materials and labor required for this endeavor at a mere fraction of their estimated cost.
The materials to construct one mile of 12 foot high, chain-link and barbed wire high security top-quality fence with a 12 year warranty including all posts, hardware, barbed wire plus the supports to hold it and ten each pedestrian and driveway gates is estimated at $782,961 or roughly $148.00 per foot.  For a double fence setup this would come to $1,565,922.00 per mile or $297.00 per foot of fence built but, why stop there?  At four times the estimated cost of the materials we can get a full mile of double fence with barbed wire on top and pedestrian and vehicle gates along with a 12 year warranty completely installed by professional fence specialists for a measly $3,131,844.00 or $593.00 per foot.  For eight times the estimated cost or, $ 6,263,688.00 per mile or $1,186.30 a foot, we could add a host of sensors, trip wires and assorted high-tech detection equipment, a few buildings to house the people monitoring all of this junk and a couple of 4-wheel drive vehicles to chase down the trespassers’ when they are detected.  Dump an additional $3,736,312.00 on top of the last per mile estimate to bring it up to a nice round $10 million dollars a mile or $1,894 per foot and you can pay the salaries of  twenty people to monitor each mile of fence and chase those who try to cross over providing, of course, that they are not compensated any more than $186,815.60 per year for their work.  As an alternative to this level of compensation, we could pay each of these individuals $93,407.80 per year and use the savings to electrify the fence.  With a bit of ingenuity we could even use the fence as part of a new electrical transmission system, forego the cost of the sensors required, purchase a fleet of Hearst’s to pick up the fried remains of the criminal trespasser’s that tried to cross instead of the 4-wheel drive chase vehicles and deliver electrical energy to all of the American towns along the border.   Who says there is no possible way to keep out the alien invasion?

C’mon Nancy, Pull a few more out!

Posted in In General on January 8th, 2007 by MorningStar

George W. Bush may yet turn the tables on the gloating Democrats and their vindictive plans to run him out of office as the world’s biggest incompetent.  The gleeful Democrats, led by Speaker Pelosi have diligently labored away at closing off what they believe to be all avenues of escape.  Unfortunately for them, they seem to be underestimating one of the scrappiest U.S. presidents of all time and they may find out that all they have managed to do is rip out a fistful of tail hairs connected to one very agitated carnivorous tiger.  Before the dust settles I’m hoping that George W tears a hole through the terrorists, the insurgents, the incompetent Iraqi leadership, Iran, Syria, Somalia and the Democratic Party.

Big Labor’s Bill Comes Due

Posted in Labor Unions, Politics & Government on January 4th, 2007 by MorningStar

After funneling over 100 million dollars of their members dues into the Democrat’s campaign chests and liberal 527 groups, the American labor unions are now looking to the Democratic controlled House for a big payback and Nancy Pelosi, the new Speaker of the House, is willing to acquiesce regardless of the consequences.

The main item topping Labor’s wish list is called a “card check”.  In the past, rules established by the National Labor Relations Board required unions to get authorization cards signed by a majority (50% + 1) of the workers at a facility before they would authorize an election to determine whether or not that facility’s employees could become unionized.  This has always been considered an unjust burden by union organizers and they now want to eliminate the need for the election if they successfully get the majority of a facility’s employees to sign authorization cards within a given period of time.

Democratic Senator Edward M. ‘Ted’ Kennedy who, according to data released by the FEC on Monday, December 11, 2006, received $240,050 in PAC Contributions from labor unions alone in the 2005-2006 reporting period, has conveniently reached the determination that the American people will now be served best by implementing a new piece of legislation before the U.S. Senate that he is sponsoring curiously entitled the “Employee Free Choice Act,” (S.842).   This proposed law would replace secret ballots with card-check unionization and facilitate the more rapid and far less problematic organization of American workers under the benevolent shield of collective bargaining’s protection. One can assume, with a large degree of certainty, that an increase in union membership in the United States can be equated directly to increased campaign contributions to Democratic candidates and liberal 527 groups across the board in the future.  The House version of the same bill (HR1696) is being sponsored by the Democratic Representative from California, George Miller who, according to recent FEC data, received $290,500 in PAC Contributions from labor unions in the 2005-2006 reporting period in exchange for his favor.

At the present time 203 Democrats and 12 Republicans in the House and 43 Democrats and 1 Republican in the U.S. Senate are supporting this legislation and Speaker Pelosi has placed this obvious payback high on the Democrat’s list of priority changes.  According to Open Secrets, Speaker Pelosi acquired a whopping $650,000.00 in campaign contributions directly from U.S. labor unions for her 2006 campaign.

Essentially, the so-called “Employee Free Choice Act” is a sell-out of American workers by the Democratic politicians that have been bribed and bought-off by the leaders of America’s labor unions to implement laws that favor Unions at the expense of liberty.

In the last twenty six years the overall union membership in the U.S. has dropped dramatically from 21.4% in 1981 to 12.5% today.  Private sector union membership, in this same period of time has dropped from 21.4 percent to a mere to under 8 percent of America’s workers being union represented.  This is a huge drop in union membership in just 25 years and it now leaves the formerly big time labor leaders in the private sector with only one out of every ten workers being a dues paying union member.  The primary areas of union expansion are now in state and federal government employment where the unionized ranks of federal employees has swollen to 36.5% while, at the local level, 41.9 percent of all local government workers now hold union cards.  Regardless of their gains with government employees, in the 21st century private sector workplace where individualization and technology push the envelope, unions are rapidly becoming economically irrelevant and will soon face extinction if they can’t find some way to turn the tide.  Collectively, the labor unions are now pinning their hopes on the changes to current labor law called for in the proposed Employee Free Choice Act.  The fact that these proposed changes further abridge the constitutional rights of American citizens is of no consequence to the obsolete and unnecessary labor organizations that are desperately facing certain death without special dispensation legislating favor beneficial only to them.

It’s bad enough that millions of American citizens are forced to belong to labor unions that stifle their productivity, restrict their opportunities for advancement and funnel their hard-earned dollars into political causes that few would endorse, now the labor unions want congress to give them the power to force workers into union membership against their will and silence their only chance to honestly speak out against the union con artists by eliminating the secret ballot elections conducted by the NLRB.  Big labor has shelled out the bribe money to the Democrats and now they want them to create laws that will give the unions something that they could never win on their own merit, acceptance by America’s happily unrepresented workers.
The Employee Free Choice Act should be seen for what it is; a further abridgement of the constitutional right to choose who or who not the people of this country wish to associate with.  It is nothing more than compensation to labor unions for bribe money offered and accepted by the Democratic Party.  If enacted, this piece of legislation will further reduce the productivity of American workers, create more unemployment, it will further reduce the take-home pay of countless American citizens, give added political power to the corrupt labor organizations and herald the elimination of another piece of our already tattered constitution.
