Study Overload as debate in Congress begins
Posted in Illegal Aliens & Immigration Reforms on February 28th, 2007 by MorningStarAs Congress begins the debate on immigration reform a rash of new “studies” begin to creep out. The Immigration Policy institute in Washington D.C. was the first to jump on the bandwagon closely followed by a separate study done by an economist at University of California, Davis. Quite coincidentally, every one of these studies indicates that immigrants and illegal aliens alike are purely beneficial to the United States and no adverse effects have yet to be scientifically proven to the satisfaction of those doing the studies or the liberals running congress. How amazing is that?
Study by the Immigration Policy institute in Washington D.C.
The headline, “New immigration study by PhD’s at The Immigration Policy Institute in Washington D.C. dispels the myth of immigrant criminality,” contains all the proper elements required to demand respect from it’s readers. The credibility of “doctors” is rarely questioned by most middle-class Americans who barely made it out of the 12 year indoctrination forced on children through our government schools. After all, they are doctors! Right?
While this may come as some surprise to a few of you it should be noted that PhD’s and college professors (even those from Harvard) get up in the morning with their hair messed up, rip off a giant fart and stumble into the bathroom to take a leak and brush their teeth just like every other human being. The fact that they append a list of acronyms to their names does not make them better looking or more intelligent than those of us who do not append a list of acronyms to their names. The following names pulled from recent historical events in this country provide sufficient examples to support the point I want to make here.
Ward Churchill. Ethnic Studies. Professor B.A., M.A., Sangaman State University – The professor who callously referred to victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks as “little Eichmanns” and “Technocrats” while implying that they all deserved what they got for their part in the American imperialists ongoing genocide.
Richard Berthold, the University of New Mexico history professor who told his freshman class “Anyone who can bomb the Pentagon gets my vote.”
Kamau Kambon holds a B.A. degree in education/history, a master’s degree in physical education, both an M.A. and an M.Ed. degree in education/administration, and an Ed.D. in urban education/curriculum and instruction. Kambon taught at a private North Carolina college from 1982 to 2000[2] and at the state university from 2001 to 2005. Kamau Kambon advocated the racial genocide of whites at a forum at Howard University on October 14, 2005.
Timothy Francis Leary, Ph.D. (October 22, 1920 – May 31, 1996) was an American writer, psychologist, the father of psychedelic drug research and personal use in America and a former professor at Harvard University.
Obviously, academic achievement, noted by a long string of acronyms behind one’s name is no indication of one’s intelligence, sanity or credibility. I am honestly not trying to impugn the good names of the learned doctors churning out propaganda for The Immigration Policy Institute. I don’t even know these gentlemen and since they haven’t directly attempted to steal my wallet, I really have nothing against them beyond the news media’s over-hyped response to their questionable study.
be that as it may, without further beating about in the shrubbery, the enumerated list that follows explains the problems I have with the results of this study;
1. It would be extremely counter-productive for any organization formed for the sole purpose of advocating unrestricted immigration to publicly announce any adverse effect stemming from that which they advocate. This would be like the KKK announcing that they secretly love black people and Jewish homosexuals or your local police department offering classes in Graffiti Appreciation. The Immigration Policy Institute in Washington D.C. was created to supply us with information (honest or otherwise) about the benefits of being inundated by an illegal invasion of Mexican national citizens and for them to promote anything less than cheery good will towards these criminal invaders would be completely out of character and opposed to their entire mission. The Immigration Policy Institute in Washington D.C. is a marketing endeavor designed to sell the American people on the joys of illegal aliens and, just like any other marketing endeavor, everything they say and every claim they make should be taken with a grain of salt because the probability is extremely high that whatever comes out of them is overly biased.
2. Ruben G. Rumbaut, is a sociology professor at the University of California-Irvine and Walter A. Ewing PhD is a professor of anthropology at Harvard University. Their academic achievement is unquestioned and I am certain that their mothers are very proud of their sons; however, their academic achievements in their chosen fields of expertise give their words no greater weight than those of other learned scholars in the fields of economics, history, statistics and law who have offered contrary opinions on the issue of immigration. Furthermore, least it be viewed that I am attempting to pit PhD against PhD immediately after the statement that they have no greater claim to credibility than anyone else, I should add that, the objective research of any human being capable of critical reasoning should be provided the same measure of weight, if not more, than the product of subjective studies completed by those who are admittedly biased.
3. The statement, “Immigrants — both legal and illegal — do not raise the rate of crime in the United States.” is completely ridiculous in many ways and even a child should be able to poke numerous holes in it. The rate of criminal activity in any given location is developed by a simple counting of events. One individual robs another – that’s one incident; somebody’s identification is stolen – that is another incident. All of these separate incidents are collected and the tally of their combined number equals the rate of all criminal activity for the location where they occur. Saying that “legal and illegal aliens do not raise the rate of crime in the United States,” is exactly the same as saying that no legal or illegal alien in the United States has ever committed any criminal violation of U.S. law. Does this make sense? If the statement were accurate why is one of these groups labeled as “Illegal?” If one illegal alien commits a crime the rate of all crimes would necessarily go up by a count of one. If 18 million Mexican citizens sneak across the border without authorization and in violation of United States Code Section 1325 (Unlawful Entry) then, those 18 million Mexican’s can be considered as having made a significant impact on the crime rate of America. If, in the following year, those 18 million Mexican citizens remained at home in their own country, then we would have a reduction in our crime rate of 18 million less incidents.
8 U.S.C. § 1325 — Unlawful Entry, Failure to Depart, Fleeing Immigration Checkpoints, Marriage Fraud, Commercial Enterprise Fraud
8 U.S.C. § 1253 — Willful Failure or Refusal to Depart from the United States within 90 days of a final administrative or judicial order of removal.
8 U.S.C. § 1326 — Reentry After Deportation (Removal)
8 U.S.C. § 1327 — Aiding Entry of Certain Criminal or Subversive Aliens
8 U.S.C. § 1328 — Importing Aliens for Immoral Purposes
Amazingly enough, the above citations refer to the most commonly violated sections of the U.S. Immigration code by Mexican citizens entering the United States without authorization. The act of violating one of these laws is considered a criminal act. 18 million people cannot violate American laws without noticeably increasing the overall crime rate. It simply cannot happen. Ruben Rumbutt and his buddy may like you to believe that it is so but, it isn’t and I don’t give a hairy rat’s ass what sort of academic credentials they wave around as proof, they are obviously idiots and, even more obviously, they think that all American citizens are idiots as well.
Study by University of California, Davis, economist Giovanni Peri
This study found no evidence that the influx of immigrants to the state worsened employment opportunities for natives with similar education and experience, and those immigrants didn’t push natives out of California. While it is true that California’s unemployment rate has declined from 6.2% in 2004 to 5.4% in 2005 and it may be true that researcher Giovanni Peri could find no indication in the 1960 to 2004 US Census data to support the contention that American born men in 2007 have left California because the jobs the were capable of doing were all taken by illegal aliens, however, looking through the 1960 to 2004 census data in search of statistics to support something that happened in 2007 seems very similar to studying the nutritional value of cumquats by having sex with armadillos. Okay, it may not be quite that far fetched but it’s certainly out there somewhere. The chart showing the foundation for this study nearly caused my eyes to jump out of my head and I liked it so much that I have decided to include it below. If you can make sense of this please, don’t explain it to me.

All In all, like the first two characters, I am sure that Mr. Peri’s credentials are impeccable; however, two things are obvious to me. Mr. Peri didn’t conduct his study in Santa Ana, California because if he did he would realize that the entire city has moved away to make room for the illegal Mexican invaders who forced them out and, the second thing is that Mr. Peri has never worked in construction. If he had he would know that construction work, formerly the backbone of the blue-collar middle-class working American citizen is now predominantly the stronghold of illegal aliens. The majority of those fine $25 dollar an hour carpentry jobs, plumbing jobs, masonry work, tile setter’s jobs and drywall installer jobs (to name a few) are now $15 dollar and $20 dollar an hour jobs filled by illegal aliens. I don’t have any idea what happened to the American citizens who once filled those positions and I doubt that Mr. Peri has any idea either but you can bet that if the illegal aliens went home and stayed there those jobs would be filled by American citizens very quickly.
This is just the start of the hundreds of new studies that are certain to be released in the comings weeks ahead while the debate goes on in Washington. They will all have a few things in common – splashy headlines & little real logic. They are purposely designed to make you believe that what you are seeing is not what you are seeing. Another thing they will all have in common is the avoidance of the simple fact that the U.S. is overcrowded and over burdened with too many people and increasing that number by giving amnesty to 18 million illegal trespassers while implementing laws that will allow admittance to two to three times that number in the near future is simply not a good idea and certainly is not in the best interests of this country.
