The Houston Chronicle Thinks You Are Dumber Than A Bag Of Hair

Posted in Illegal Aliens & Immigration Reforms on May 22nd, 2008 by MorningStar

As further proof that the American news media contemptuously regards the American people as being abysmally stupid, the Houston Chronicle published, as credible news, the findings of a study by the Perryman Group, a Waco-based economic analysis firm, regarding the economic impact of deporting all illegal aliens from the United States. The study was commissioned by the immigration advocates known as the “Americans for Immigration Reform,” and their obviously biased conclusion is that if the United States eliminated all of its 8.1 million illegal aliens instantly, the nation’s would lose nearly $1.8 trillion in annual spending and the economy would suffer.

To begin with, there are nearly three times that number of illegal aliens in the United States and even the federal government admits to the fact that there are at least 12.7 million illegal aliens and that number hasn’t decreased or increased since 2005 despite admissions by authorities in the Border Patrol that more than 8,000 illegal aliens are coming into the country every week.  The simple fact remains that while no one really knows how many illegal aliens we have living here in the United States.  A credible estimate would be based on the last accurate count plus the annual rate of illegal entry for each year following reduced by the nearly non-existent apprehension and deportation rate.  Anyone willing to sift through the necessary data for the numbers will tell you that a better estimate is probably somewhere between 25 and 35 million illegal aliens.  However, considering the totality of the Houston Chronicle’s report, mis-stating the estimate of illegal aliens in this country is nothing compared to the claim that we would lose $1.8 trillion in annual spending if we drove them all off.  Obviously the editors of the Houston Chronicle didn’t bother to check the math before publishing the results of this study or they would realize what a completely absurd claim they were perpetuating by publishing this tripe as though it were factual.

To see just how absurd their claim really is you have to look at the loss per individual illegal alien which is derived by dividing the total loss by the number of illegal aliens they claim are residing here. The easiest way to accomplish this is by entering the following problem into the Goggle search box,  8,100,000/1,800,000,000,000= , and hit  the enter key on your computer.  The resulting answer to this calculation is 4.5 × 10 to the 6th power.  To get a straight number translation of the response you enter 4.5 x 10^6= and again hit the enter key to get back the response 4500000.  For anyone unwilling to do the math I will cut through the BS real quickly.  The study published by the Houston Chronicle is claiming that every illegal alien in the United States results in $4.5 million dollars of spending.  That is a fairly phenomenal claim to make about a group of people whose average annual income is less than $15,000 per year, but then again, the editors of the Houston Chronicle are well aware that most American citizens wouldn’t question what they read in the paper, let alone do the math themselves to see what it looked like.

A 2007 report by the Washington, D.C.-based Federation for American Immigration Reform found that the costs of education, health care and incarceration of undocumented immigrants in six states, including Texas, exceeds $27 billion annually and that is a very conservative estimate for only six states.

Significantly more scholarly and far less biased studies have credibly demonstrated that because of their lower level of educational attainment, illegal aliens earn far less income and therefore pay less income tax than the average American citizen.  In 2002 it was estimated that illegal aliens paid a total of $16 billion in federal taxes, however, the same illegal alien households imposed more than $26.3 billion in costs on the federal government during the same year.  Those costs were the result of Medicaid, medical treatment for the uninsured, food stamps, WIC, free school lunches, federal aid to schools and various social services.  By subtracting the taxes paid from the cost of services rendered it is easy to see that in 2002 the illegal aliens cost the federal government more than $10.4 billion, or $2,700 per illegal household.  That was in 2002.  In 2008 the number of illegal aliens in the U.S. has more than doubled, the cost of providing them with the services they demand has significantly increased, and in comparison to the average American household, the illegal aliens are still paying a mere 25% of the taxes they would be legally responsible for if they were citizens.  As a consequence, every illegal alien in the U.S. now represents an annual deficit of more than $9,000 per head.  Do the math yourself.  If we have 25 million illegal aliens living in the U.S. and each one is costing us $9,000 per year then we are talking about an annual loss of $225 billion dollars.  If the illegal aliens were given amnesty, the cost of the upkeep would be even higher because they would then have access to more government services.

The simple fact of the matter is that you can’t reduce the problem of illegal aliens into mere dollars and cents alone because the cost is far greater to the American people.  Illegal alien predators are swarming across this nation’s southern border every day and the countless American citizens who have been victimized by these freeloading parasites defy all attempts to place an exact value on our government’s failure to effectively address the problem.  Thousands of American citizens are murdered every year by illegal aliens and thousands of American children have been raped, strangled, abused and traumatized by illegal aliens who have been repeatedly deported only to re-enter the U.S. weeks later.  There is no possible way that anyone could put an accurate value on the damage and destruction they have caused in our society and any attempt to demonstrate the value of illegal aliens in the U.S. through economic analysis is utterly foolish.

A man provides his wife and children with a fine modern home, all the clothes and shoes they can wear, more food than they could ever eat and a plentiful supply of money to take care of anything they wish to purchase.  The only thing he demands in return is that his wife submits to daily beatings without complaint, and all of his children are required to provide him with whatever demented sexual pleasures he can dream up.  Using the same arguments that our representatives in Washington use to advocate on behalf of the illegal aliens, we should all assume that this wife and these children are extremely lucky to have so much good fortune, and they should consider the economic benefits they are receiving before doing anything to mess up what is obviously a good situation for them.  If you can agree with that then you are obviously genetically predisposed to being a Democrat.

Tumor Or Not Tumor

Posted in Other on May 20th, 2008 by MorningStar

When I first heard the news of Senator Kennedy’s seizure I figured he had probably just caught some sensitive part of his body in his zipper and suffered a meltdown, but this morning I found out that his doctors have determined that the cause of the seizure is a malignant tumor in the left parietal lobe of his brain.

I could say that I wouldn’t wish such a horrible fate on anyone, but that wouldn’t be too honest.  I suppose the truth of the matter is that I wish it were contagious and that the Democrats started dropping like flies.  That might be a horrible thing to admit, but then again, I suppose it’s better than lying.

Zogby Reports Only 48% Of Likely Voters Are Awake

Posted in Politics & Government on May 15th, 2008 by MorningStar

As far as professional polls are concerned I consider Zogby to be more unbiased than most, but after they recently reported that 48% of likely voters have expressed dissatisfaction with the selection of presidential candidates running for office in November I have to wonder if they are getting an accurate picture of the situation or have their questions resulted in misleading answers.

It seems entirely unlikely that 52% of the American voters are so blasted ignorant that they would view Obama, Hillary or John McCain as being even remotely qualified for the job of U.S. President and if this is truly what Zogby’s poll revealed, they should consider revising the intelligence standards for those participating in their polls.

Have personal characteristics like honesty, integrity, intelligence and leadership been completely removed from the equation?  Are we so intent on putting a Democrat or a Republican candidate in office that we are willing to overlook the fact that all three of the primary candidates now running for office have been involved in shady, if not outright corrupt political deals in the past, that all three have been exposed red-handed as pathological liars and pandering jackasses willing to say anything to win a vote?  Have the American people become so damned stupid and apathetic that they can’t fathom the fact that that this country is in serious trouble, that our inalienable rights have been swept away and our government has become more socialist than that of most outright communist countries?  Have our brains been turned to mush by the politically correct new paradigms that replaced the once essential concepts of “freedom” and “liberty,” or are we just so self-absorbed that we don’t notice anything until it runs over the top of us and leaves us crushed in the street.

If there are only 48% of the American voters who are dissatisfied with the selection of candidates then we are in deeper trouble than we ever believed and we may as well get used to the fact that we are going down fast and landing is going to be very hard.

Meathead’s Revenge

Posted in Lotusland on May 13th, 2008 by MorningStar

In 1998, California’s intellectually challenged voters, wooed by the celebrity likes of Martin Sheen, Meredith Baxter, Nicole Kidman, Tom Cruise, Steven Spielberg, Robin Williams, Michael Douglas, Charleton Heston, Democratic U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer, Tom Hayden, and Willie Brown, the former Mayor of San Francisco, voted to pass Proposition 10, otherwise known as the “Reiner Initiative” because the proposition’s primary advocate and financial supporter was none other than Rob Reiner, perennial college student and archetypal liberal, Michael Stivic, affectionately referred to as the “Meathead” by his father-in-law, Archie Bunker, in the television sit-com “All In The Family.”

Proposition 10, added 50 cents a pack to the state’s 37 cent a pack tobacco tax giving California the third-highest tobacco tax in the nation.  It was designed to financially discourage California’s teenagers and the poor from purchasing tobacco products while providing the state with a windfall $700 million in annual tobacco tax revenues that were supposed to be directed to early childhood development. Coincidentally, Rob Reiner, who invested nearly $2 million dollars of his own money in the campaign to pass Proposition 10 assumed a leadership role in disbursing $700 million in annual tobacco tax revenues.  Twenty percent of the tobacco tax money was to be distributed to a statewide commission that would pay for research, child care programs, administration and an anti-smoking campaign intended to educate pregnant women.  The remainder was to be divided among California’s 58 counties based on the percentage of state births recorded in each county, and each of these 58 counties would appoint a commission of volunteers to decide how its share of the money should be spent.

California’s overly gullible voters reading the Meathead’s ballot argument in favor of Proposition 10 believed that the increased tax money would be spent to provide childhood immunizations, vision and hearing tests, child care, health care and social services for children that were otherwise excluded or from existing state programs.

After ten years of Proposition 10 with more than $7 billion dollars funneled into the tax coffers of California as a result of the increased tobacco tax, the citizens of the “Golden State” are beginning to discover that the parameters for “otherwise excluded” are extremely wide.  As it turns out, a very select group of savvy San Francisco parents, who also happen to be financially well-placed, have been tapping into the tax payer funded pot to pay for their children’s ice skating lessons, field trips to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, chartered bus trips to the Jelly Belly factory in Fairfield and supplies for their children’s Halloween parties.

Illegal Aliens Costing Los Angeles Taxpayers $36 Million a Month In Welfare Alone

Posted in Illegal Aliens & Immigration Reforms on May 7th, 2008 by MorningStar

New data from the Department of Public Social Services indicates that nearly twenty five percent of Los Angeles County’s welfare and food stamp benefits are going directly to the children of illegal aliens, and it is costing the L.A. County taxpayers $36 million a month.

When Los Angeles Mayor, Antonio Villaraigosa, gave his “State of the City” address he announced cutbacks in services, a reduction of city workers and yet another increase in the trash collection fees, but he never said anything about possibly reducing the number of illegal aliens on the welfare rolls despite the shortage of revenue.  In fact the mayor fired off a letter to the Department of Homeland Security blasting them for having the audacity to enforce this nation’s immigration laws inside of his county.

The people of California need to be paying attention to this moron because he is planning to run for governor in the near future.

United States Department of Education – Less For More

Posted in Politics & Government on May 7th, 2008 by MorningStar

The United States Department of Education (ED) is a Cabinet-level department of the United States government.  It was created by the Department of Education Organization Act which was signed into law by the former Democratic President, Jimmy Carter on October 17, 1979.  The primary function of the Department of Education, as it was originally intended, was to formulate federal funding programs involving education and to enforce federal educational laws regarding privacy and civil rights, however, like all federal bureaucracies, the Department of Education quickly determined that their annual budget was predicated on their ability to demonstrate their importance in the grand scheme of things, and that the perception of their importance was, in turn, predicated by the amount of control they could exercise over every aspect of education in America. In their nearly thirty years of existence, the Department of Education has evolved from gathering educational statistics, handing out tax money and enforcing the racial quota of public schools by busing children from nearby schools to schools many miles away from their homes, to determining the curricula taught and the educational standards that need to be maintained by all public schools.  In simpler terms, these are the folks who have decided that elementary school children should be taught ” the joys of gay sex,” that all public school children should be immersed in the Spanish language and multiculturalism, and that the entire human race is now threatened with extinction because we have not effectively dealt with the problem of global warming.

As federal bureaucracies go, United States Department of Education has managed to thrive in demonstrating their importance, and the federal government has correspondingly increased the amount of money the Department of Education receives every year for elementary and secondary schools from $176,378 million in 1980 to $599,000 million in 2006 (the last year disclosed).  However, while the Department of Education has managed to demonstrate their importance to the federal government, their effectiveness remains questionable.

The overall achievement scores on long-term trend reading assessments of this nation’s 9, 13, and 17 year-old students in 2004 indicates that America’s public school children are no better off at mastering basic reading skills today than they were in 1971, and that despite the huge sums of money spent on enlightening this country’s children as to the joys of gay sex, only 31% of all 8th graders are considered proficient in basic mathematics.  Furthermore, while the number of high school graduates has steadily increased from 1970 to 2008, this is the result of the increased number of students and not an indication of the school’s ability to effectively teach.  In 1970 the average freshman graduation rate for public schools was 78.7%, but in 2008 the average freshman graduation rate for public schools was down to 74.4%. The records for the average freshman graduation rate maintained for public schools indicate that despite now graduating more students than we did in 1970 (because there are more students in school), there is an overall 4.3% decline in the graduation rate across the nation.  In other words, the federal government is spending more than five times the amount of tax money on public elementary and secondary schools than they were in 1970 and they are graduating a smaller percentage of students.  To make matters worse, the students that are graduating are less likely to have developed the basic reading and math skills during their educational experience but they are more inclined to be tolerant of homosexuals and cultural deviations in society, and they have been taught to give more credibility to pseudoscientific concerns like global warming that the issue actually warrants.

In the most succinct possible terms, the American people, thanks to the United States Department of Education, are far dumber today than they have ever been in the history of the United States, and while this sad situation is considered entirely deplorable by the Republicans who opposed the creation of the Department of Education and have fought to abolish it since its inception, the Democrats who created it and encourage its continued expansion as a means to indoctrinate American youth with liberal ideas during their most formative years, consider it the best thing since the invention of the veggie burger.

For the millions of American citizens who are now looking in dismay at a presidential campaign dominated by three entirely unqualified candidates and wondering to themselves how in the heck this country ended up in such a sorry state, the United States Department of Education should be perceived as a very valuable clue.  If it were not for the over-regulated, entirely incompetent public school system churning out hordes of illiterate graduates confused at the sight of even the most basic math equation, any presidential candidate promising to legislate the reduction of carbon emissions to 80 percent below 1990 levels by 2050 would be appropriately laughed out of the race.  Issues like this can only survive in a nation where dummies abound, but unfortunately, that is an issue the American people are not prepared to face.

Deborah Palfrey

Posted in News Events & Media Censorship on May 6th, 2008 by MorningStar

The body of Deborah Palfrey, the madam who ran the Washington-area call-girl ring, was discovered hanging in a shed behind her mother’s mobile home in Tarpon Springs, Florida.  Palfrey was convicted of financial racketeering, money laundering and using the mail for illegal purposes on April 15 in the U.S. District Court in Washington.  The local police in Tarpon Springs reportedly found two suicide notes in her mother’s mobile home and have determined the death was a suicide.

The suicide seems to work very favorably for the unknown number of Washington politicians this woman may have outed had she remained alive long enough to do so.  This is all so very convenient.  Statistically, women rarely commit suicide by hanging themselves.  Then again, with her having the goods on so many Washington politicians, I suppose anything is possible.

A Performance Evaluation

Posted in America In Decline on May 1st, 2008 by MorningStar

Presidential candidates have been fixing our educational system, cleaning up our environment, putting muscle in the middle class, restoring economic order, creating jobs and ending this nation’s involvement in unjust wars for decades.  Coincidentally, the educational system is worse than before, the environment is more trashed than ever, the middle class is atrophied, the economy is going downhill, there are fewer jobs and wars just keep getting fought like they always have.  From one election campaign to the next the politicians spout the same hollow promises to the gullible American voters paying attention to them, and after the dust has settled and the campaign is over, nothing is done, the problems get worse and life goes on until the next election.  The 2008 presidential campaign has offered up a couple of new issues like “Affordable Health Care,” “Energy Independence,” and “Global Warming” for the candidates to blather on about, but like every other presidential campaign in recent history, after the dust settles nothing of any merit will be done to solve these “problems,” and life will go on with no apparent change to the issues discussed.  Time will continue to pass, as it always has, until the next election begins the process anew.

What most American voters don’t seem to understand is that the President of the United States does not create jobs, they are created by businesses.  The more government regulations businesses are forced to comply with the less profitable they become, and the less profitable they are, the more the economy suffers and the more people are unemployed.

The nation’s educational system is falling apart because of government regulation and intervention and more of the same will merely accelerate the disaster.  Before the federal government took over the responsibility of running this country’s public school system we offered the finest education available anywhere on the planet and our schools turned out droves of excellent scientists, engineers, mathematicians and chemists.  With government intervention and standardization academic achievement has plummeted, the nation has a shortage of scientists, engineers, mathematicians and chemists and 32% of this nation’s students can’t even manage to graduate from high school.

No amount of government regulation will alter the weather patterns of the planet and the only real way to reduce environmental damage is to reduce the population that is causing it.  The number one cause of environmental damage to the planet is people and the simple fact of the matter is that there is no possible way to reduce the environmental impact of too many people without reducing the population.  The more people are packed into a given area, the more environmental damage they will cause around them.  More people = more damage, less people = less damage.  The equation is pretty straightforward and even the most self-absorbed American high school dropout should be able to figure this one out without having to resort to a federal grant and a gaggle of tax funded scientific studies.

Despite the obvious fact that government intervention is the single best way to exacerbate any given problem, presidential candidates still offer government intervention as the end-all, be-all solution to every problem, real and imagined, that plagues the harried minds of the great unwashed masses, while politicians at every level of state and federal government spend the majority of their time trying to figure out new and better ways to increase the size of government and increase it’s control over the many aspects of our daily lives.  It seems like the only entity that always manages to somehow come out on top with the most prizes in hand is the government and the politicians it breeds.  The citizens suffer the hardships, carry the crushing tax burden, endure the crime, the toxic environment, the collapsing infrastructure, the ups and downs of a fickle economy and the erosion of personal rights while the politicians are managing bigger wages, increased pension benefits, access to more tax money than they could ever hope to embezzle, employment and advancement opportunities for all of their friends and relatives and enough power and authority to ensure that they continue to reap the benefits in a game rigged so that they will always win and the rest of us are left happy that we haven’t lost more.

Regardless of Barack Obama’s promised changes, McCain’s snide duplicity, and Hillary’s backstabbing manipulation, nothing exists forever and everything, including the United States of America, has a lifespan that starts off somewhere in time and ends as assuredly as it began.  Italy, England, Turkey, Spain and many others have risen to the top of the heap before starting the inevitable slide back towards the bottom.  We will not be the lone exception to this well established historical precedent.

As this nation continues listing inexorably toward the center of this downward spiraling path the hysterical rhetoric pouring out of our so-called “elected representatives” and the insatiable fear mongering of the overly-sensationalized news media are proving to be effective distractions well suited to keeping the public eye off the fact that while this ship is sinking the politicians and bureaucrats are filling up the lifeboats and grabbing all of the preservers.  If Franklin, Jefferson or Washington were alive to witness the nation they fought so valiantly to birth, they would undoubtedly puke.

The price of regular gasoline is creeping toward $4.00 a gallon, the cost of feeding your family is rapidly going up and some staples are already being rationed.  Thousands of American families are so deep in credit card debt that there is no possible way for them to ever recover, while hundreds of large employers are facing the need to cut back on expenses by announcing mass layoffs. Every day more and more mortgages are falling into foreclosure, entire families are being put out on the streets and the banks have repossessed so many cars, big screen TVs and other pieces of furniture that they can’t find places big enough to store it all.  On top of all this, the cost of medical insurance has gone through the roof because we have 20 to 30 million illegal aliens taking advantage of a legal loophole to gain access to medical services for which they will never pay while the United States government subsidizes their illegal entry and existence in this country with an average of $13,326 in federal welfare and entitlement programs per immigrant household, with free K-12 educations and free college tuition, low-cost and “forgivable” home loans and free legal assistance, most of which are unavailable to American citizens regardless of need.

There are more than 303,981,395 people living in this country already, how many more millions of additional people do we need before our demand for oil, gas, electricity, water, and food start going down?  If we pack another 20 to 50 million people into this country how many American citizens will benefit by the corresponding increase in good paying jobs?  If we allow another 15 or 20 million freeloading parasite families into the country so they can squirt out their kids on our dime and clog up the waiting areas of our emergency rooms even worse than they already are, how soon will the cost of medical insurance begin to come down so that American citizens can afford to provide their families with medical coverage?

There is no argument that the United States government has achieved the goal they had in mind when they took over the educational process of American children.  All we have to do now is figure out some way to survive the catastrophe that is about to fall on our heads.
